im gonna stop responding because im just gonna say the same thing over and over: identifying where the pieces can move is really REALLY easy for a GM. Like VERRRRRY VERY easy. So easy that optimising it is nearly impossible because of how easy, and instantaneous it is. The squares that a piece can move to is as obvious as the piece placements themselves to the GMs.
I still find this project interesting though, so let me know when it releases

**SPOILER ALERT FOR Joker: Folie à Deux || didn’t hit as hard emotionally as the first joker film. i felt like it lacked the kind of emotional contagion that made the first movie, joker, so gripping. while i understand that the musical sequences were meant to represent the “other” personality (joker) taking over arthur, i think they ended up overshadowing the storyline itself. but actually, if you look at it from another angle, the overwhelming presence of musical scenes could be interpreted as a visual cue that jokers persona has become dominant in arthurs mind. so, in that context, it actually makes sense. but for us as the audience, especially those without mental health struggles, these parts felt repetitive or even boring ngl. but i think this is where the director intentionally draws a line. the director was trying to highlight the disconnect between what “normal” people perceive (us the audience) and how those with mental illness experience their reality. what might feel monotonous or strange to us could be deeply immersive or meaningful (in arthurs case very theatrical lol) to someone struggling internally.

the parts i genuinely liked were the music choices especially close to you by the carpenters, arthur being found guilty of his crimes, rather than receiving a "not guilty" verdict due to his mental illness, highlights how misunderstood he remains by the people in his city. (this actually mirrors the themes of the first joker movie, where society consistently fails to see him for who he truly is. as viewers, were the only ones who get a glimpse of the real arthur, and this makes the verdict all the more emotionally impactful for us), and the scene where arthur meets his unexpected demise. that part hit me. ive always rooted for arthur, and that scene served as a kind of jolt or like a return to harsh reality after being submerged in the chaos of his mind (showing tons of musical parts in the movie). his death, tragic as it was, felt like the first real moment after a surreal sequence of internal performances/musical part with lady gaga lol. okay, now i will give it 7/10 since the first joker movie to me is 8/10.||
