Mouse slips don't even exist otb, so that argument completely crumbles. You give your all and fire back, taking advantage of the poor mistakes your opponent makes, that's the premise of chess. What meaning does the game contain if you're not even willing to resist your opponents desires, and what honour is there in winning? With such a mindset, why even bother playing chess at all? The last mistake will always decide the end result, and humans make mistake all the time. I think you'd be better off finding something else if the way chess has been forged doesn't lie within your little bubble of preferences.
