My way of thinking is that, draws won't get you first place, yes vidit and gukesh and a bunch of other candidates participants (youngsters) are doing well (not so much gukesh) but i like to be realistic when thinking about results and comparing gukesh's results against higher rated players and ESPECIALLY lower + his performances recently + the fact that he doesn't deserve his spot, the fact that pragg has not won against anybody higher than 2750 apart from ding, the fact that abasov shouldnt even be there and is the lowest rated out of all of them, the fact that vidit is probably the most likely to be one of the most prominent players however not at the same level as the top 3-5, the fact that nepo is lowkey tilting and probably STILL salty + his results in general AND FINALLY THE FACT THAT FIROUZJA'S WAY OF GETTING IN THE CANDIDATES WAS UNBELIEVABLY UNFAIR and that he is also not ont he same level as people like fabi or hikaru consistently
