The impetus behind this post comes from a rapid game that I've just played. Allow me to paint you a picture with words. I've been maintaining a clear advantage since the very beginning (yes, I played white) and by the end of the game I enjoyed a healthy +1.3 strategic superiority according to neural net analysis. There was only one problem. By move 12 I was down to seconds whereas my opponent had actually more time than when we started.

Naturally, as soon as the game ended (I lost, despite better play and clear advantage) I questioned my opponent on the use of engines. I won't repeat the answer, but its intellectual level reaffirmed my suspicions that foul play was involved. Finally, I was able to make him reveal what I already knew. It would've been impossible to find answers to the moves I played within the scant seconds of his own time that he used. No.

If you're interested in playing the Najdorf correctly, you're going to need a course. There's really no way around it. There are an immense amount of ideas and plans within the Najdorf and there is no simple way to learn them
