First of all it's actually not always the top engine move but also that's a flawed algorithm for brilliants because in reality they often are like 2 or 3 move calcutions that aren't hard to find in reality. The fact of the matter is some sacrifices that work aren't that impressive to find and some good moves that aren't sacrifices are impressive to find but chesscom doesn't represent that properly at all.

In the caro white has the tal, Shirov, short, exchange, Panov, Kia, fantasy, two knights. All of them give a solid edge to white and black is usually passive. Whereas there are multiple other black openings where there's either really good chances for black to equalize and even if black is slightly worse at least the positions are dynamic enough that there's good ways to fight for an advantage from them.

If I studied the file deeply and made sure I remembered it or the other guy who has the file were tobplay awhile against like a GM in classical we'd probably win. That's how clearly refuted it is they'd need to swindle a super lost position which is possible but they'd be in a near resignable position by move like 10-15

Best thing I can do is say to go on the lichess database or analysis board put user "dragonendgame" and search his games results/score but exclude bullet, hyper bullet/untra bullet in the settings cause results in those time controls aren't very telling

I mean when I analyzed the lines every single one leads to a position that's just hopeless for black. If I refreshed and studies that file right before playing a GM who plays it I'd at least get a completely winning position though yes it's possible I choke it away cause it's against a GM but it's not possible for black to avoid it at that point once 3. C5 is on the board
