Awesome game you made 2 mistakes so I'm gonna explain them to you.

1st ss: you played Re8, a better move would be f5 which activates your rook since you're going to open up a file for your rook to see the board, and now your bishop has a target because you're going to capture the pawn back with your bishop and give it a very active diagonal. Re8 doesn't fight for anything, it does not have a target nor a purpose. You're just thinking about trying to activate a piece by moving it, but you can also activate pieces by "clearance" or opening up the board and giving your pieces activity.

2nd ss: You traded your bishop for the knight. I would say this is a mistake because that knight isn't really bothering any pieces of yours right now and your bishop has more prospects of being a better piece by activating it with again the move f5

Look for those flank pawn breaks to open up the board more often. You can play them in a lot of positions and often times it's better than playing in the center the entire game (obviously use this at your discretion based on the sort of position you're in)
