I'm new on the server, not new in chess tho.

Since I have no permission yet to talk in #💬〡improvement-talk , I might as well ask here.

On chess.com I am currently on 1150 rating, and slowly progressing up.
My goal for this year is to try to reach around 1500.

But openings are in most games repetitive, 1-2 oppening constantly repeating, both on my side and my opponents.

I feel like I don't progress much skill-wise by just playing games, especially repetitive ones.

Even tho I can ocasionally beat stockfish bot on 1500-1700 it seems fake.

I'm looking for some tips on how to get better, skill-wise.

• Any good book
• Is chess paid plan for puzzles worth buying? Do puzzles really help long term to get better?
• Should I continue playing repetitive games all day long or try different tactics with high risk of lost games?
• Is playing against bots also good target practice?
• Anything else I didn't mention but you could recommend for improving?
