Despite significantly more approval in the chess.com chat for 5..Be7 for this game compared to the ElDivis game, we may face a situation where our recommendation of 5..Be7 has no realistic chance of winning. These polls are suggestions for what we should do if the two top moves are two of the three most common moves from the ElDivis game.
I strongly recommend holding your vote for move 5 until preliminary vote totals are released, to avoid potentially voting for Be7 in a situation where it has no chance of winning.

When I decided to participate in this Vote Chess game against Judit Polgar, I was initially unaware that nearly all of the players running the infrastructure on this server for the GothamChess game had quit after that game due to their recommendations having virtually no impact on the moves played in the game.

I was put in charge of recommendation polls because I was the only one willing to do it. However, after 5..Bc5, 6..O-O, and 7..exd4, all rammed through by low Elo players who did not read the chat, even in the last two moves, where 6..b5 and 7..Ba7 were fiercely advocated for by the chat, I have decided that there is no point in further recommendations or participation. The vote for move 7 has not ended yet, but the vote margin is not even close. After 7..exd4 8.cxd4, Judit Polgar’s advantage is obvious. I will not be voting to resign until at the earliest we are down material, but this game is functionally over. I will not leave the game as that prevents me from voting on future moves, where I will vote to resign. I encourage everyone that participated in this farce of a game to go find something more enjoyable to do with your time. I will remain on the chess.com discord server but will not participate in future discussion for Judit vs the World. Goodbye, and may chess.com make significant changes to the public vote chess format to prevent a farce of a vote chess game like this from ever occurring again.

I am considering randomizing the order of options because I think people are just picking the first option, and while the option order in the polls is determined by frequency in correspondence games and is a reasonable measure of strength, often multiple moves are almost equally good but with different ideas for future moves.
