openings dont really matter study endgames and play some london systems and learn middle games like identifying weak squares and outposts

most people play e4/d4 as white, but dont always practice that.
endgames are a lot more important than openings though, so try to practice those more. i also can not make this more clear, if you have a lot of time left and you're about to win make sure you do not stalemate them
