About the irish gambit. The thing is that black has a easier time playing it because they have less pieces to be targetted.
Halloween gambit is just better because white has more targets and can put a lot of pressure.
Id say the difference between Irish and Halloween is that in Irish, black can win even if they havent studied the opening and in Halloween, Black has to have studied the opening or has to pray to the chess gods

I'd say try not to care for the ladder grind, care for improvement and just play for the sake of the game and what you gain from it. After your games at some point you should analysis them, think through the mistakes you made or positions you found difficult try to think through them without an engine first then you gain a lot from it

Not really reading a book and making music is pretty easy but a poetry competition not as easy but depends on the scale

Not much anymore, after a point due to learning writing, studying Shakespeare and old poetries and literature and all I predict most shows, guess what dialogue leads to, like I watch soemthing its hard to turn off the “they wrote like this cause of that and whatnot” dialogue, so very few media gets me now, I still do jog occasionally but sports without my old body and tactics I could due do it limits my play
