That's true, we all got one reason to improve in chess. it is to beat someone you know personally, same goes for me too. Tbh, I'm playing chess from last year , i never played offline but chess com. Recently, I have observed I'm improving now.. but still stuck at that particular elo, I know, most important things are chess basics, puzzles tactics, game analysis but still... Anyway, I'm won't stop here. By the end of this year , I will surely reach 1500, I will try my best... Just play and analyse. Thank you.

When people say they do puzzles they usually slack a lot, like not analyzing puzzles they get wrong or getting puzzles correct while not calculating every variation that could have happened which is a much more important practical skill. If you do puzzles without slacking, learn some opening / endgame theory and checkmating patterns, you can reach 2k elo no problem in less than half a year
