For me, the barrier to entry was just a museum entrance at the Titan Missile Museum in Tuscon, Arizona, they'll remove that barrier to the missile as soon as you pay a simple entry fee. Hope this helps!

I'd say that against e4 your best attemp to play the same defense all the times will be with a Sicilian or Caro, e5 leads to a lot of variations with each one having a lot of lines, Caro you will actually play main line, advance or exchange, they are easy to learn, french is also a good option. I'd try the Caro-Kann if i was you
