Do you guys think there's such thing as having a playstyle preference as a player, or should all plays be following some broader whats best to win the game mindset regardless of how a player just intuitively prefers to operate? like aggressive playstyle vs defensive playstyle vs preferring to trade playstyle and so on

in other games playstyles are always there, like in some ccgs theres always aggro players, and sometimes control players etc, but with chess i wonder if leaning into a playstyle might be seen as a sure way to limit your growth or something idk
