Here's my example: O-O and c3 in the Ruy. This is how I often play the Spanish because I'm looking for central control, open bishops, and possible development through Nbd2 to Nb3 or Nf1 if the position really requires me to hassle with the knight there. (Of course, it leaves e4 unprotected in this scenario, but this is the general move combination.)

Usually, I end up playing Nc3 in these positions after cxd4 though, so the other plus side is an open c-file to use.

Generally, my playing style is focused on activity and usually come through aggressive tactics, even if they happen to be blunders. lmao

Try to play the lines yourselves 1-2 times
Then take some friend make them play the opening you practiced you'll see various lines if it is one you studied and you forgot you'll remember from next time if it's another line add the line to the book.. After like 50 games or so you'll be good in that opening
