so far in my curriculum I've been taught statistics and prob, intro to calc, trigo, and some geometry but I've self taught up to calc I and linear algebra, but I don't think the majority of people have enough ease or capacity of abstraction to make math understandable without having to pour an extreme amount of hours into it which makes it despicable

the requirement to entry in any career is simply a cutoff grade, if there's 100 slots available then the top 100 students according to grade and standardized testing enter, so it is very competitive

Students here have to compete in an exam that's considered to be in the top 3 toughest exams in the world. Studying 8-10 hours daily as a high school student is considered to be normal, and is encouraged and idealised.

We understand math. It's just that we have to solve questions that make us hate math.
