As white i play Queen's gambit, Nf3 b3/reti, the english, sometimes e4 openings, and sometimes london, I've also been playing KIA, that's my main white repertoire, and as black I almost always play the sicillian against 1.e4, I'm also learning the caro but I'm only decent at it, I'm also trying to learn KID. I feel the most in control of my game and feel like the least amount of chaos will happen when I play queen's gambit. The main reason I dont respond with e5 against 1.e4 is because e4 e5 is pure chaos. There's so many things white can do and so many things you can easily be unpreprared for in a tournament. So basically if you play e4 as white or e5 as black both sides have to be ready to fight, and the fight it usually crazy as hell
