Type: acacia butcher block

Just need to be reaffirmed since I’m a complete noob. These stain hairs are due to not sanding enough, right?

Follow up question, once oil based stain is dry, can I sand ‘most’ of the stain off to redo the process?

they're due to sanding wayyyyyyyyy too fast

#

with something stuck on the paper as well

Interesting. There’s nothing stuck to the paper but I may have been going a little fast 😅

Does a mistake like this sand out?

yep, as long as it isnt veneer, you can just go back to your lowest grit, sand slowly, 1"/second

#

and go through the full progression

Glad to hear it. 1”/second, copy that. Thanks for the timely response.

Also affirming make sure the stains fully dried out or you just gum up the sand paper and make a mess.
