i'm okay with it being expensive but im not looking to spend like >600 CAD

i should mention that i have most tools needed to build a desk

Which tools specifically?

Also, "how can we go about creating" a desk is probably too broad a question to receive meaningful feedback. A set of smaller more detailed questions about which parts of the process you have questions about would probably be much more fruitful.

I will say that $600 CAD seems optimistic for the project as described to me

and countless hand tools that i can't list of the top of my head

its more about the design. i think we're competent enough to actually build it but designing it is where we're struggling

we tried finding stuff online similar to what we're looking for and there was nothing useful enough
