Please help

Your path forward is:

#
  1. Use pliers to turn screws back out of the wall
  2. Set drill to slow speed and clutch to ≈15
  3. Insert new screws
#

Ignore any additional advice from the peanut gallery.

wooden oxide

I can reuse the hole right?

wooden oxide
#

If you carefully thread the screws back out, yes

honest mirage
#

Alright

honest mirage
#

Can I start at the lowest clutch setting and work my way up?

wooden oxide
#

Either you have very cheap screws or you are not applying enough force

A philips screw requires significant forward/downward pressure to not cam out. All camming will result in stripping the head in various degrees

honest mirage
#

I’m barely applying pressure to the trigger

warm folio
#

not the trigger

#

the screw

honest mirage
#

I’m pushing tho

I made it work

#

The bracket is sturdy enough

warm folio
#

That's the same screw in the bottom...right

#

but I'm glad you're done, more than you know

honest mirage
#

No I removed it

#

Got a new one

#

Still stripped it but not as bad

#

I went and used a plier to tighten in the best I can

#

The second screw from the top went fully in

#

The top almost fully in

#

The bracket when I bumped it up it moves a bit but when I bump it down it doesn’t move

#

Which is what I need bây ways

@wooden oxide @warm folio thank you for y’all help
