Looking at making a wood slat accent wall that will also cover up a door for a hidden door. I was wondering if getting hardwood or plywood and cutting it down into strips or just buying precut pine strips would be the way to go? I'm most likely going to stain either a walnutish dark brown or a bit red color (still deciding) which makes me think hardwood is a waste. Would be brad nailing into the drywall. My main concern is the potentail for any warp over time. Still need to woodworking and wood movement still makes me worried on bigger projects
