Wasn't very proud of much else I made, so I decided to just showcase some jigs I made this year

In order(not chronological);
- Drill press and fence
- Overly engineered planer sled
- Router table with fence
- Woodfather's Jig (Mario's @ Woodfather YT box joint jig)
- Jointer jig for table saw (as recommended by QP)
- Couple of circle-cutting jigs for my trim router
- Super basic crosscut sled (planning some upgrades)
- Simple Bandsaw fence from scrap and toggle clamp
- Variety of clamps and knobs for my jigs
- Miter Gauge
That’s a lot of jigs!
Hopefully this year I’ll actually make things with them that’ll look nice!😅
Got all the prep work out of the way!
Planer jig is pretty cool. I think you would benefit alot from having a 3d printer with all those knobs and stuff. Not that there is anything wrong with wooden ones
I also used to use a table saw jointer jig. Pretty handy
Everything looks really nicely made. I’m sure the resulting final products will show that too!
Thanks! I’ve got some tweaking to do to the jig before I make it’s own post to show off how convenient it is.
And I definitely agree, a printer will hopefully be one of my next major tool purchases. I could make all kinds of adapters for hoses and stuff which would help sooo much
Thanks for the kind words! I sure hope so!
This guy jigs.
Whats the deal with the jointer jig? How does it work / why is there a cutaway for the blade? Do you just run a piece right up against the fence with the blade in thaat position?
So you’ll pass the material through from the front of the blade and it’ll shave off just a bit of material. There’s a thin acrylic piece veneered behind the blade that supports the freshly cut material
The jig is slide over the fence and moved right up next to the blade, and the thickness of the support veneer determines how much material is cut in a single pass
I’ll post a link to the original in a sec

If you don't have a jointer but you do have a table saw then this tablesaw jointer jig can get you by. It's easy to make and very effective. The jig isn't as good as a jointer, you can't adjust the depth and it doesn't leave a...

Man this is awesome. Ive been going back and forth about buying a jointer/planer (no room for it) but this is probably enough for my needs
