Did anyone get screen-share to work with rmfakecloud? According to their wiki it should be supported (but only via USB).
I have my reMarkable Paper Pro successfully paired with rmfakecloud so as the official desktop client running on Linux via wine. Files sync via rmfakecloud between both devices.
When I start screen sharing on the reMarklable Paper Pro, nothing really happens. The Desktop client does not show a popup (as it should), the rmfakecloud log does not show anything and also journalctl does not contain information that seem related.
I have my reMarkable connected to my PC via USB.

What would help:
- Did anyone got screen sharing to work with rmfakecloud?
- Did anyone got screen sharing to work with official cloud and the desktop client on Linux via wine?
- Does anyone have ideas how to debug this?
over USB, use rmview
That isn't screen sharing using the build in features though.
@dapper hearth https://github.com/ddvk/rmfakecloud/issues/274 it looks like it's not working, but the only issue tracking it was closed as complete with no further information. Someone should create a new issue with further information so that the people currently maintaining it can look further into it.
well it's the only working option so far with fakecloud, even if it's not ideal
Ah, so you are aware it isn't working in rmfakecloud and haven't opened an issue 😉
well the in the rare event I use screenshare I kind of need to use rmview (I prefer it to the official client) so it doesn't affect me personally
