2.7 or 3.7?
rm hacks supports 3.x which supports the folio
You can use codexctl to download an install 3.3.2 and then re-enable toltec.

It’s not necessary to save the current os?
no
Not when you can just download an unmodified copy of it from the official servers.

I typed opkg install git which works
but then ;
reMarkable: ~/ git clone https://github.com/Jayy001/codexctl.git

git: 'remote-https' is not a git command. See 'git --help'.
Just download the pre compiled binaries
Don't run it from source. And just run it on your computer

You wouldn't have had to do this
Is it safe to factory reset my device?, How do I remove all third party software from my device?, Can I downgrade to a different OS version?, How get back to stable after installing the beta?, Can ...
If you are on 3.11, you have to manually downgrade, see the issue linked on codexctl's readme, but you can just switch
codexctl restore
and turn off auto update
