What is the best way to manage installing packages not linked with toltec. like lynx or neovim or neofetch or smthn?

If you are installing entware packages with toltec, you still use opkg to install and remove them

what about just installing binaries? install in opt/bin? install in ~/.local/bin and add to PATH?

gusty fractal
#

~/.local/bin is already on your path if you installed toltec

chill to add shit there without disturbing toltec?

gusty fractal

Yes, as long as it isn't overriding the name of a command something else is using, and doesn't provide the same interface

#

So just like any other linux system
