Arent they always spawned on surface? I have seen them there from months ago to days ago. I believe red_sand + worldguard region are their spawn condition

Ye, now that I’m thinking about it though couldn’t we assign a maximum spawn height (y level) to the specific nest?
Having them spawn on top of the nest defeats the purpose of having nests in the first place in my opinion

you can remove red sand from spawnable blocks
theres lot of other types of blocks inside, soul sand, soul soil etc
