Yeah we basically migrate existing ones with worldedit and write extra data onto them in the chunk to store note values while allowing custom blocks
This was always the plan and the reason we never added them on survival in the first place before we got the system working

Tbh id also probly play way less if note blocks didnt work, the are essentially for redstone components and thats my favorite thing to do in the server(besides community) i was protesting for them to work when i found out about it over a year ago and it was still an AB question in which i preferred them over custom blocks
Im very happy they found a way to make them work in tandom with custom blocks

Also please don't write suggestions to be "threatening" like "I WILL leave" and being sarcastic with the titles of suggestions. It doesn't help resolve your problems any more and it just makes it more frustrating for everyone when it comes to discussing them.

i logged into build to try and make a doorbell for reset and noteblocks didn't work and the response i got was there were going to be no more noteblocks and i 100% promise that i am not joking about leaving if they truly were disabled
but seeing that i was trolled i guess ill see what happens

Whether you leave or not makes no difference to my answer, it just makes the conversation more frustrating. Whoever told you they are being removed had false information, they will be in game to use for normal vanilla function

Yeah we did a poll ages ago, which I'm pretty sure was for removing it. But a lot of players still weren't happy so we readded the vanilla feature. So essentially, it's all good

atm even rightclicking on the block to change the note doesn't work because of how they are using the note state to essentially have their custom blocks

I think right clicking them will work, but I'll let Boy clarify that. But I'm pretty sure you can manually tune them to what note you want. Just redstone doesn't work
