What about the ability to exchange our mined ores at Orth for coins at some villager mob? If the exchange amount varies from half-stack to stacks or several (or it's items compressed block form) is reasonable, i do think having this store/exchange mob would be useful. Or maybe devs don't want to promote in excess some kind of dechunking?
What if fully empty chunks detected, are refilled in order for players to be able to keep farming at the deep low of L5 (so to not destroy the map).
🤔
Well these are just suggestions, let me know if any are feasible or acceptable.
#Ability to sell ores?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
The ore selling discussion has been brough up before, i think they want orth coins to have some sort of risk applied to earn them
You can just grind in l3 for a lil bit and have so much iron ore you could make absolute bank, and if you just raised the price then no one would bother to sell em so it wouldn't be worth adding
Though given the relative attempts and making the abyss not overtly difficult in survival, having easier access to the goods orth traders sell for players with high ping for instance wouldn't be so bad
Yeah defo no on this, i dread to think how much ore some ppl have on the server and yeah dont want to promote just mining
i prefer fighting mobs than mining but i would be happily accept orthcoins while doing that
I also don't believe in trading minerals for orth coins because minerals are so easy to get. But I really wish there were more ways to get Orth coins. Fighting mobs is too hard for someone like me with a bad Internet connection. My pings are often above 500.
yeah even 350 ping makes it exceptionally hard to fight mobs
high ping pvp be like
So yall telling me that a town that's obsessed with minerals to the point of building a golden bridge and is right next to a giant cave, does not want to buy up any minerals? However some completely random part from a monster that does the same thing as coal, but is harder to obtain, people in orth want more compared to the cheap alternative?
Plus the mobs are fucked most of the time
they're obsessed with the abyss, coal and iron are everywhere in the world
why would they mine that stuff when they can sell relics and abysall creature parts for stonks to the foreign market
What? Coal and the coal from the flying monster (forgot what it was called) function exactly the same yet one is way easier and safer to obtain, there's no reason the sell fancy monsters parts instead of coal.
Also relics don't exist, if they get added so we can sell them that would be nice, otherwise that argument makes no sense.
I.. i dont know what you mean xD
if you are talking from a strictly gameplay perspective then yes, coal vs the coal bird is the same
but if your talking about lore reasons like "a town that's obssessed with minerals" implies then... an awesome abyss creature part from the abyss will sell for more then a lump of coal, even if you can burn both
Like i would like to sell ores, it'd be easier for me since ping and whatnot. im just not sure what you mean
think about it lore wise
delving is very commonly a death sentence
the reason they go down is relics
relics that could only be found in orth to the point where other countries would invade just to get relics
plus its much more dangerous to mine in the abyss than any other place in the world i mean if its metric tons of the material like l6 they would but that's an exception
Orth is more relics not minerals
Also I imagine at the point theyre at minerals arent exactly an issue for em
boiled down to 6 words damn
they can buy ores from places where the the chance of dying while getting ores isnt 30% or something like that
also a small town
how much iron could they possible use
wiz hates pings
you could just click that to not anger him
huh didn't even realise this was a thing
i think boy has a gif for for every time someone does that
Speaking of Orth more to "Getting Relic" rather to "Selling Mineral" how about this:
--> Starting from layer 4
0.1% of getting (Only 1) Unidentified Relic when mining, which can be sell for 1 OC each
There is NPC "Relic Specialist" that interested on broken Relic or unidentified Relics
Description:
Unidentified Relic
"Unknown treasure from the past. Many Delvers sacrificed their life for fortune of this very things, but this relic has been seen better days"
"It may broken, but there is someone delighted enough to purchase this on Orth"
This is already planned but a better system of actually getting relics
But it's probably not gonna be for a while
but those are useable relic, let say this is for the destroyed one that can only be sold on orth
give reward to miner in more canon way instead selling ores idea
Well the system is a bit more complicated
Does involve broken relics as well
But I get your point about a temporary one
If I'm going to be honest though I am personally not keen on ppl grinding more Orth Coins BC it was never meant to be the main way of getting anything
sadly it is the main way of getting anything
But that seems to be what it's turned into BC it's just easier to grind opposed to the natural method of getting things
Yes it is, because it's easier for players. But it shouldn't be
So increasing the ability to get Orth coins kinda just makes that worse
so, maybe we can utilize more custom crafting to make something that only purchase-able on orth
Say, Wool
ok, we have Red Wool, but it only Red
(maybe i should make new forum about this rather talk about that here)
have your time~, seemly people not gonna rush about it after all(?)
Problem being that a lot of the important items, are either impossible to get, or are harder to get naturally, compared to Orth coins.
Like for example:
Mending
Swift Sneak
Soul Speed
Discs
Chorus fruit (unless you get it from another player)
Player heads
A bunch of building blocks
All of these are impossible to get and they're of the top of my head, there's probably a bunch more. And for example just to get mending for your 4 armour, 2 pickaxes, 1 sword, 1 axe, 1 shovel it would cost you 144 OCs, and that's just the armour and tools.
If you wanna build something and the blocks for it aren't already in one of the layers? Well too bad couse you gotta pay up
Imma make new forum for this
the issue here is mending is an end game enchant pretty much
why shouldn't it be the most expensive thing to aquire
there is now

i basically opened this suggestion as a way to discuss the impossibility or the very high grindy experience when trying to get certain blocks, items without having to go through the villager trades. so it's on point
oh and also, i related it to ores/minerals because i tend to Zen out mining as i play this server to relax from IRL sometimes, not having problems with mob difficulty as my ping is nice and the challenge is good, just thought that many others would be in the same line maybe. After reading all the comments, having the devs/designers take on this helps understanding what's trying to get achieved when it comes to the grind itself, and the ability to get hand on those hard to get blocks/items
specially this view (represents by some measure why this suggestion was created to begin with)
Technically none of those are important
Only one that can honestly count as important is mendin and that’s more convenient
Wdym none are important and mending is only convenient? By that logic armour and tools is convinience too since it just makes you tankier/mine faster. At that point you can just go and play minecraft classic with 9 blocks
Yea they are convenient
You really had to @ me for this
whops i pinged you
Just for that you get no answer
Yea no its best everyone knows this manga same way they know Guardian Tales
The name of it is The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady
sounds intersting
Naturally it is
Its one of the few things I rank higher than Guardian Tales after all
Hmm yea no im puttin em equal
Figure it out yourself
