It might be because the string is tighter near the bridge, so the string doesn't really get pulled as much with the pick as if you played right over the neck pickup for example... but it could also change your tone playing there.

There isn't really any "best" tunings. Only tunings you like, and tunings you don't like. It's like a blank canvas. It isn't the art, the art is what you make out of it

The weirdest tuning I've ever used is probably BF#BF#BFF#B on my 8 string
The only normal tuning my band uses is drop C# haha. Our other tunings are that weirdo 8 string tuning, DADDAD, and AEBF#C#G#. The bass is always an octave down. BF#BF# (octave below a usual 5 string with a 200 gauge, no pitch shifting), ADADG, G#C#G#C#F#, and AEADG
I hate having bass in the same octave as the guitars so I always try to be an octave down. I don't feel the need to go any lower than B so for now, that's the lowest I'll go 🤣

It's a bass thing. Biamping involves splitting a full range signal (what comes out of your instrument) into two signals, one containing all of your high frequencies, and one containing all of your low frequencies. A crossover is what splits it, you set it to where you want the cutoff point to be, and it splits it

Just like Chao said, you can setup reastream (which was designed for the reaper daw but should work in others) but setup can be a little tricky depending on if you just want guitar or if you want guitar and your mic etc… the easiest way I find is to just swap the standalone amp sim from asio to windows audio and then stream your screen with audio in discord. This will have obvious latency making it harder to play fast and on time but it’s the easiest way.

100% learn the tapping section to Eruption if you're getting into tapping. The song is hard, but that part is super easy to learn.
It was the first song I learnt tapping, then after that the solo to Crazy Train starts of with a bit of tapping but a different tapping pattern.

For something more modern and a bit heavier, Silvera by Gojira has lots of tapping aswell.
With all practice you should be doing this but it definitely helps with tapping, just focus on consistency of the tapping and the timing, don't rush to get fast at it.

and if you want to get into playing fast rhythm guitar while switching into a tapping lick in the main riff then Bleed From Within - The End Of All We Know main riff, intro riff, prechorus breakdown and the actual breakdown are incredibly good ones to learn from
as well as their song Overthrone as well
both of those made me tap with ease and switch from rhythm picking into tapping quickly and seamlessly

lower half is string skipping - ya know, cuz you skip one string and switch between the two. From my own experience, doesnt matter much if its just the next string over or a skipped string, practicing both is essentially the same
