I stopped caring about what he plays tbh
Me too
I was surprised when I saw the pick he plays it's one of my least favorite thick picks
@untold lava try and deduce what im doing from this lil vid
My brain said "Taking a shit" i gotta go take a nap.
Let me actually take a listen lol
Alright I’ll try
You are trying to show the other guy how to sweep pick?
That guitar is hot
Bro i didn't even realize you pinged the guy

I do need a nap
Damn
Also one more up to speed
i find it easier to learn tricky parts of technique by not speeding it up until i can play it really clean
like not even trying to speed cus itll ruin the form
i wish i could play it on a neck pickup cuz thats a cheat code for sweep picking lmao
true and very low gain
sounds the cleanest atleast
using delay or reverb can make it sound much better too
the video was mainly there to show what my pick is doing tho lol
yeah no mean to criticise from my part
sorry mate

Thinking of changing out the black winters not too much of a fan don't really like the lead sound and rhythm is okay I thought I woukd like the mid heaviness since dimarzio dreamcatcher has mid and bass heavy that I like but this one doesn't do it for me too well
Thats a pretty guitar
Yea just got it yesterday plays well and has the ibanez petrucci layout
1996 ibanez. Rgr620 neck and rg670 body
It's beautiful, that bridge could be cleaned.
Yea it's very worned out is there even a way to clean it seems more discolored from wear and tear rather than dirty. It was cosmo black
Thoughts on LTD BK600
-
The Neck felt great for me. I liked it as much as I did the Prophecy.
-
Fret spacing was perfect for me. Between the Ibanez and the Prophecy I liked this one the most.
-
String spacing was a bit too close for my liking. It almost got in my way at times. In this respect, I preferred the Prophecy to the BK600.
-
Satin finish on the neck and body is always an A plus for me.
-
The default pickups sounded fine to me, perfectly usable and I like em. Although for a 1k guitar they could've put in his signature lace pickups and not just some Duncans.
-
The switches were straight foward, two volumes and a pickup switch. Naicu.
-
The frets were very well rounded damn near as well as the Prophecy.
-
Fret radius was perfect, couldn't be happier.
-
The biggest downside for me is that I couldn't balance it right. For some odd reason, the body wanted to keep falling off my lap. It was very annoying even for a small guy like me. The saving grace though is that the neck just felt so good.
Final Verdict - 8/10. There were very few things I hated about the BK600 and for 1k it felt like an ESP made LP. It does the chugs and weedly wees well. That being said there were some factors that knocked it down a peg for me personally. But if your into LPs, this is an amazing one to have.
(Tried out in November 2021)
@cyan tiger
I think the other way around, it cant be an rgr620 neck cuz that would be a reverse headstock neck
Mb yea ur right

Its not that bad tbh
Rg, rga, rgd, az, frm, ict body shapes
Rgr is an rg with a reverse headstock
I can remember like rg5320c, rg8520, rg8570
I prob had a brain fart I prob thought I typed one for the body and the other for neck but had it for the wrong name

Yea I want the rg8520 j custom the green emerald🤌
Im getting a j custom later as well. I cant show it tho
One I was interested was the rg8820 j custom cause it has stainless steel frets. Tho it's rare and prefer dimarzios
Ss frets is alright. I usually prefer regular nickel steel
I don't mind either one but if it has ss frets even better
Also the store i work for is gonna do a couple of exclusive j custom runs
Those bout to be even more expensive
Not as expensive as I would've thought
Yeah for sure, i am allowed to share this one but the other one we're getting is still classified
I think this is our 16th custom run with ibanez now
I still haven't tried j custom yet but ik I would like the neck since it's wizard neck
The super wizard AS is stupid fun imo
I tried a pia and quality wise was very nice so I'm assuming j custom is stleast of equal quality
The regular one is always great and you cant go wrong
Yea my rg genesis has the super wizard
Probably a lil more imo
Weve had all types of prestige and j customs but also as far as japan custom shop ibanez's
I'm obsessed with ibanez. But the selection of ibanez quite small in guitar center tho seems better now than a few years back
Before there wasn't even an ibanez section
If youre anywhere near boston come to the other store of my job
We get some of the craziest guitars in
I think we still have a jbm9999 in stock there rn
is there any model like this but 7 string?
There is not
There is a 7 string j custom just not anything too special
Ooooh, is that a signature?
It is not, its an axe palace exclusive j-custom run
Axe palace being the store i work for
And wayyyyy out of my fucking budget lol
“Only”

Dw about, you only need one kidney
If it's just worn then that's good if it's gunky then yuck
Nah the guy was nice he had put new strings oiled fretboard polish frets and cleaned guitar and I got a case💀
If the person doesn't do that then your in for a ride
I was expecting to do it myself
eh im getting one for the neck tbh so
Its not that special or actually ergonomic tbh
It only become ergonomic if you apply the right posture and seating position or strap height for it to be ergonomic
Im saying this cuz i used to own a strandberg and theyre overall not that great as they seem to be
ive played them, always play them when i enter my music store and i love them lmao, tbh tho how good a guitar is will always be user preference
and im buying a 8 string so i dont want something that weighs like a monstertruck either
either way, im addicted to the neck shape. work outrageously well for me so
also this reminded me, im specifically getting as said a 8 string, with multiscale, and a headless guitar so naturaly, if that wasnt the case id ABSOLUTLEY get either a japanese ibby or any other boutique guitar.
japanese ibbys are beautifull tho lmao
and from what im aware there are no multiscale 8 string ibanez guitars right? lol
theres the RGMS8
i owned one and it was shite lol
also ibanez's headstocks on 8 strings look ridiculous
i have the 7 string version and think it works fine
yeah lol 7 is superior imo
yeah i mean like maybe shite is a little too strong, it just wasnt working good for me
fair enough
had alot of fret problems later on and idk. just didnt like it in general
fax
arent there any other ms models tho?
so if id get a 8 string guitar if it cant be ibanez id just get a schecter
their hellraisers have beautifull headstocks
there are but tbh i dont fuck with ibanez's 8 string // multiscale designs
they are
fair
periphery guitar brand
im not a fan of 8 string guitars tbh
love periphery
i am lol i do alot of clean playing and i love them for low note chords and shi
i get that
live, laugh, love periphery.
dont really play songs that require 8 strings
most modern stuff only has need for 7 or even 6 if baritone
i can hear your swedish accent through your typing
lol how
i just can
fellow swede
meshuggah nation
ongawd
vildhjärta also
ofcourse. alot of good bands. swedish people make good music
very true
its funny how there is a slight chanse that we might live nearby lmao
haha
but im predicting you live near stockholm
no closer to gothenburg
oh ait im in västerbotten 😭
ts is so funny
very
i wish i was
umeå sucks balls bruh
all we have is lion bar 💀
it was nice in the summer
going there tonight probably lol
not in ume
but lion bar
i want to but im WAY to broke atm
if you go before 19 the beer is only 35 kr
and i have to go on a lion bar retirement because i need to afford the strandberg
yummy
gods water
idk dont think so
chapman baris are realy underrated
havent tried
these mfs so beautifull
wow yeah
they are just good baritones. nothing more than that tbh
i got a squier baritone for loathe stuff last summer
but thats nice
epicsauce
i like the raw finish
i need a 8 string so i can become 100% modern techdeath
invents riffs are way to fun
and periphery
i always warm up with marigold
same haha
learn some jinjer tho
the main riff is a really good warm up exercise
vortex is stupid fun to play
i should listen more to jinjer
what do you think of Allt?
goated
but new imminence is the shid rn
i was tryna send a playthrough of vortex but it wouldnt let me bc of file size lmao
yesss
Beno again flexing with the skills
Which guitar should I get? (Jackson isnt out yet)
Please get the Jackson once it's out
Hell yaa
dude u impress me everytime. how do u get like no unwanted string noise? do u use a fretwrap?
I dont use a fretwrap i put a lot of practice into making my playing clean
dream theater concert was worth it
Are there any bassist here in texas around san antonio or austin (im in fredericksburg) looking to join a djent/deathcore proj?
m a bassist and m into that stuff but i live on the other side of earth :<
can anyone give some good rhythmic progressions and all for smth funky asking for a friend
he is applying to mi
Oof yeah that could be an issue haha
well yea
thall or sum
Boom
Wew wew wew wew
Bam
Wow wow wow wow
The dark side sweet
god damn
though you are cheating, having a carpet table makes you play 50x faster 🤦
thanks✨

Okay look I like Fluff and all but how the hell can you have signature neck dots?
I'm more interested in why they are needed when 95% of guitars already have them
And they are clearly visible
Go on a stage in the pitch black and try to see them
It gets a lot harder
Maybe they're luminlays that glow in the dark.
And you can just stick em on?
I haven't watched it yet.
They look like they glow
It seems to me that usually by the time you perform on stage you will already have learned where each fret
But this is a personal opinion, of course if it is more convenient for you then it is cool
Absolutely, not especially during incredibly fast crazy lead parts.
Usaly you gotta look twice just to see the fret and then go from there.
Especially when going from like the 5th fret to like the 18th doing that without looking is so incredibly hard.
Well, it looks like I just got lucky with the gigs and had no problem seeing what I was playing
Yea a lot of venues got good lighting but then so many are garbage
yeah def
luminlay side dots are a blessing
luminlay inlays are even better
They are so nice
I don't like inlays either no inlay or like a tree of life sorta deal
absolute madness i barely played it. I need to clean it up but thats my best attempt
I like dots and a cool 12th fret inlay
Yea those are nice too
Oh aweet
Cant imagine how people play that
i’ve been trying to learn it on and off for over a year now
Some people are old
idk if its much but could u show me ur tone settings? it sounds amazing
bro casually whippin out godless times
I use NUX mg-300 Tawanaka lead preset
still needs a lot of practice tho
its a multieffect processor than u plug into an amp or what?
yeah but its still good, just some refining tbh
I actually might get this it looks super affordable and worth it
exactly
Gotta stop flipping us off though
🔥
not a big fan of this
used this for a year straight
few presets are nice
but overall the tone sucks
ull have to work a lot around it
prolly use some custom irs instead of stock
cuz stock are bad.
i mean i play rhythm on guitar and theyre not nice
for lead yeah its decent
and bass too
its alr for bass
there is just one amp and cab for bass
i di it in my audio interface to output it via monitors
m not saying its bad
m saying it just needs a lot of tweaking
the stock stuff are not that great
i think your amp might color the overall tone and make it a bit better
which amp do u use?
Thats why it sounds bad lol
boss katana
i changed the output settings tho
cock
Balls
Still looking hmu!
Hey @cyan tiger
Hi
How was the guitar? Looks like a nice single cut
@lethal fractal
Be aware I'm a known single cut hater lol.
Me too
Although my chuggy chug chug is a single cut
For the price of it seems like a good guitar
It was a very nice guitar. I just hated it kept wanting to fall off my lap.
I don't play on my lap anymore for this reason
I just upgraded tf out of my dinky
With?
EMGS and gotoh locking tuners then Im just gonna buy a floyd original when I have the money for it
Nice
Have you gotten the frets levels and polished and a full setup?
Yep I usually do it when I get a new part or just once a year in general
Awesome, I bet that thing is a mega tank now
The bass?
Yeah
It's not amazing... all the Gios are the cheap lineup so often not the nicest thing but definitely fine for learning with just probably not a show bass.
It's just for playing at home, for recording I will use 6string
Thanks
6 string bass?
Yes
For sure, it may need some work, frets being levels sharp edges softened and what not just a proper setup then will be nice.
Nice
Thoughts on the Schecter Nick Johnston Signature:
-
That neck was glorious. So buttery smooth and satiny. It felt like a extremely refined Strat neck.
-
It sounded just as good. All the chime you could want with all the Stratty type Philip Sayce digging in stuff from the neck pickup to some raunchy stuff with the bridge. They sounded so detailed even on a Blackstar that it was just great.
-
Controls were simple. One volume, one tone, 5 way switch. That I can appreciate.
-
Seeing as it's a Strat. It felt great to hold for me (I love Strats.)
-
Frets were smooth as butter. The edges needed to be rounded slightly more but that's just a nit pick.
-
Fret and String spacing were perfect and never got in the way.
-
Added note. The input jack is on the side and not where it is normally on a Strat. THANK YOU!!!
Verdict: 10/10. My first 10 score. 10 does not mean this is a perfect guitar. It simply means it set the bar for how I will judge all others of its type. For Strats at 700 to 800 buckeroonies, this is by far the BEST I have ever played. Well done Nick Johnston.
(Tried November 2021)
Is the middle one.
@cyan tiger
Can I borrow it forever 😭😭
hahaha
Finally: Ω
yo
always loved the nick johnston strat, such a tasty looking guitar
Is it possible to make a video more infuriating for a guitarist to watch than this?
Don’t worry I gotchu
Its badass dude
One of the best strats I've ever played
Is a squier jaguar with Seymour Duncan humbuckers for $250 worth it?
Which SDs?
Hell ya man
Send a link to it? $250 can be very reasonable depending on the model they can be $600+
It’s on a Swedish site but I can send a picture
Barely has any information attached
Ill read Swedish if needed if it can help.
But ya send pictures
Is this krona? $250 Krona
Usd
I'd definitely call, ask the model and year the guitar was made what model the pickups are and ask any other work that's been done to it.
Oh that's the stock pickups I believe on that model
Ya $250 is very reasonable i have some near me going for $400-500 another one that's $240
I’ll reason with my dad tomorrow, he thinks I have too many guitars
Insane that this is stock
Although the volume knobs look to be replaced
Yea besides for the knobs the pots could be replaced due to that who knows about the tuners or the frets could be after market
Yeah but maybe that’s good incase the stock parts were bad
Do you know which model it is?
Yes it would be good just also good to know they aren't stock
Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar HH Sunburst 2010
I believe ^
Thanks mate
No worries hopefully that helps
Put my first cover out today if anyone would like to check it out)

All audio was recorded before shooting
Tabs: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_rUljUYtx6GATYNhGbvmLKDHl74GVFok/view?usp=sharing
yoooo
so well produced
Haha thanks
It was a pain to shoot the videos out in the cold but I think the vibe is worth it
Just realised the pickups aren’t really SDs? It says Duncan designed on them, I assume it’s license built pick ups?
what exactly did you use for record, sounds like an amp missing the cabinet
yeah precisely the thing i thought. is the amp digital? unbalanced raw guitar signal really messes the sound, you require DI box to decent sounding if your amp is analog, if it’s digital you don’t need it but something tells me if it was you would have better tone. for example i would use DAW and guitar emulators, considering in 2025 there’s a whole shitload of libraries that can produce good sound
I need a free daw and guitar emulators
and i know it wasn’t about playing but please do work on rhythm. triplets sound off beat
And yes it was analog
Thanks, it's ma first time recording so it's hard for me to play int the same tempo as the left channel for doubles
!
Reaper = Free Daw
Ignite Amps Emissary or ML Amped Roots = Free Amp
ML MIKKO 2 = IR creator, first cab comes free.
Thank you
My guitar pick is on its way i hppe the weather doesn't delay the delivery
Can't wait any longer
Be aware. ML Amped Roots, there is no clean channel and only the first amp is free.
Don't understand this
ML Amped Roots has no clean channel. It's just 4 high gain amps with the 1st amp being free.
you ARE going to require clean channel
it’s inevitable
Okay, thank yall
Alternatively.
Audio Assault = Amp sims 10 dollars or lower that are very good cheap alternatives to NDSP plugin suites that have full features.

What bridge pickup do yall recommend (not fishmans because they’re way out of my range)
Humbuckers btw
Probably should have specified my price range 1 pick up under $150
I want to try the polypafs as I love the polymaths
the pafpolys
i need pickups that have the burl design cover like you see on all those fancy ass ig guitars
but they'd look terrible on glossy black guitar
I have friends with em...
grab a screwdriver & steal me a set
Hell nah they wouldn't match your guitar they are custom made to fit the top
i have a dremel
Make your own
Which colour for the 58X, Black or white, my current hardware is black but the white would be a cool contrast
What its like rn
Whites
It matches the white on the fretboard
recently got gifted a bass, y'all got any tips for beginners, youtube channels to check out or whatnot?
Music theory
as someone who knows fuck all about theory
yes
at least the basics
trust me, you´ll hate yourself down the line if you dont at least get the basics
Especially for bass more theory playing as a bassit i tend to find
Without being too knowledgable I´d assume it´s just massively helpful to make up bass parts that are anything other than Guitar -1 octave
Ita very useful especially knowing chords and how to just make the bass fill in what the guitar is playing
learn cryptopsy songs

0:00 Ibanez and Ibanez fans are persistent...
1:29 New Ibanez 2025 si...
aaaah it looks so sickkkk
this looks kinda off tbh
odd multiscale...
the telecaster input jack?
that weird thingy around the 5-way?
but my goodness, this color
honestly I like that color a lot
Kinda. It's supposed to be angle to natural angle of how you hold the frets.
never judge until you try it ig, seems odd in concept but I´ll gladly have my mind changed...if I ever get the opportunity to test this
nah its prob for intonation
Is it?
yes
multiscale is used for a better intonation
not for more comfortable playing
^^
lowkey its less comfortable
^^
^
though idk 6 string multiscales dont make much sense imo
no need for those usually
I mean some people who play thall use crazy tunings but at this point i would get a baritone
thall on a 6 string is kinda crazy work though
but i guess
everyone has pitch shifters at their disposals nowadays
Nah i dont think so
i see a lot of people playing thall on a 6 string
true
i mean buster odeholm uses a 6 string lol
It’s also Buster, man can make whatever he wants.
enter sandman but if slipknot did it
Ibanez RGD7521PB-DSF vs Schecter Omen Elite 7?
im wondering more about the playability regarding the neck and construction, intonation and tuning stability
Majority of my friends (I myself as well) swear by Schecter.
Co-worker of mine strictly records with an Elite 7 and his Schecter C-8 Multi-scale SLS Evil Twin
I cant play the omens, body digs into my arm painfully and the neck shape is very awkward to me.
Where as ibanez blows it out of the water for me almost all the time.
Try both if you can then decide
oh thats interesting
two completely different answers
yeah true its a thing about trying
but sadly in my country is really hard to get hands on such instruments to actually try them
but yea i might drive it to the capital to try the ibby out someday
and order the schecter to test it out from thomann
i do like the schecter pickups more than the dimarzios on the ibanez
out of curiousity
which finish Elite 7 does he have_
Charcoal?
Black Cherry Burst
oh hell yeah, also eyeing that because the charcoal usually seems to have a ton of ugly orange and small burls
unfortunately the bcb is in stock within like 7-9 weeks tho
schecters necks are too big for me
hard to shred on that lol
i’d rather play an ibanez cause their necks are top tier
I've been trying to shred on my fender neck with a 2.25mm action it's been good awful
I need a new neck
Badly
I normally setup my guitar for the action to be 0.75mm
Low action + nice fretboard + stainless steel frets + new strings + thin neck = 20% more speed lol
I'm the opposite, I've only tried Ibanez 7 strings but I hated the necks on the models I played (I don't remember the names)... They had a flat area on the back which I hated but the Shecter necks fit my hand perfectly (Maybe that's just because I own Shecters but I've tried other brands in stores and none feel as good as them to me so idk)
Yea haha, at least once I get my guitar fixes 0.75 will feel like gods hand helping me after coming from 2.25
Goes to show how personal it is haha.
I'm tempted to just make my own guitar neck at this point.
Toss it in the CNC machine tell it to have fun then finish by hand
i mean my ibanez had high action and i never fixed it so when i switched to my 8 string jackson the difference was crazyyyy
Absolutely haha
Actaully, hate is a strong word... I did hate the flat area on the back of the necks but the guitars themselves were fine.
i love an extra thin neck ngl
i mean i am more of a lead guy
so it’s obvious
I tried a budget Ormsby once and it had an extremely thin neck
Never got to try an Ormsby
For my next guitar i’ll go with either a kiesel or a good ibanez
i could wait for a Mayones
but that would take a while
and i would have to sell all my guitars
How many guitars you got?
Oooh, Making the Beno signature... Whomever wields it gains ungodly sweeps
It wont have 8 strings tho…
but for the next one i’ll def go with 8 strings
the color will be hot pink
The most metal colour fr
Pwetty 🩷
Yee
are these supposed to come out with the string if the string isn't in there holding tension?
the string slots
the little cylinders
Nah but they sometimes do
okay, thanks!
got me stressing lmfao
because i did a slight bend and the G string broke when i was trying out the guitar what im supposed to send back
will restring the G tomorrow once i get the right gauge

And on a related note, who are some guitarists, not that you took inspiration from, but rather whether self taught or not, that you learned from?
never let pete rank again 💔
Lol why
Steven Jones and Craig Goonzi Gowans from Bleed From Within, thanks to them I've even gotten this far on my guitar journey
both writing and riffing wise
and learnt so many different techiques from their songs regarding riffing
absolute mad duo
syn, matt in OK tier is diabolical lmfao and even tho im not that big of a fan of kirk's solos either he should be legendary at minimum imo regarding what he has brought into the guitar world in general. Same goes to dave and marty id say ngl. and iirc there were a few others i kinda thought he rather ranked off of like ''bias'' no? but yea i guess
that my opinion
hbu?
For me discounting lessons I took from 4-11 because I forgot all that (and mostly because I was mainly a drummer).
13-14: Pete Loeffler (Chevelle)
14-15: Adam Jones (Tool)
15-16: Clint Lowery (Sevendust)
16-17: Mark Tremonti (Alter Bridge/Tremonti)
17-18: Rabea Massaad (Dorje/Toska/The Totemist/Vower)
24-26: Jun Senoue (Crush 40)
Yeah. I'm not a lead player by any means. I don't do the widdly wees very well at all. I was always far more interested in the riffs.
Relatable
but thats because i havent really bothered or had the motivation to learn shredding
so instead i just opt for tappy/shreddy riffs if possible 💀
There are some guitarists that have snuck in there that I've learned small amounts from like James Fukai (Trust Company), Dave Baksh (Sum41), and Mike Einziger (Incubus). But that ones I've listed are the major ones.
Yeah I can't do tappy shreddy riffs kek.
Bradley hall, Rick graham, Dean Lamb
many more
from the start i just wanted to sweep and shred
so now i am shit at playing riffs lol
Comes with time and just need to get used to that specific style, after practising basically only bfw for nearly 1.5 years i believe it would only make sense to work then, but even them im still shit at it myself LMAO
practice practice practice
with a metronome ofc

This is orobably one of the
Hardest ones i can play rn
Cleanly
Still isnt clean enough tho
LMAO
Felt
hell yeah
Once i started trying i gavw up tho
LMFAO
Sticked to riffs
And simpler solos
Kirk hammett solos are pretty good for laying ur ground in the shred world tho
Nothinf actually too difficult
And the sloppier the more hammwtty it sounds atp 😭
oh yeah when i started playing what i can play now seemed impossible
Well we both know what to practise now lmao
Oh thats the best feeling ever
nah i am sticking to sweeps and alternate picking
Sometimes you just go back to the riffs and be like "wait this is easier than i remembered" after a while
Indicator of improving
🙏
gotta learn 2 nps patterns and more complicated and faster sweeps
HAHA fair
also those neoclassical patterns for 3nps are so weird to me
Man is going down the yo onityan route
Respect
Oh definitely
best feeling ever
Cant wrap my head around quicjky playing scales or even sweeping
Cant sweep to save my life
One day tho
In the future
Ill take a week and try to learn it to the core at least
Imagine having the skills to play syn's solos with ease
I envy yall fr
i mean playing scales is much easier than you think
but sometimes
some crazy guitarist pops up on my ig
Always fuck it up when the pattern changes like 1 fret up or down on the 2nd or 3rd note lmao
Sometimes? Mine is full of em 😭
Daily thinking of "damn, this competition too crazy 💔"
when i look at them i'm like "no way i am getting there"
Foreal
people just got so good all of a sudden
i just gotta practice more lol
Wed definitely be considered godlike
thats so true
Was way easier to be succesful as a musician as well to an extent
No social media so it was harder to rwach out
i have no idea how people practice and have time to do other things
But wayyy less competitiob
Same
Like do they have a life or
i mean school + gym + guitar + learning for tests
Especially when shit like tim henson, ichika nito etc came around
Now you see 7 year olds sweeping or playibf polyphia pwrfectly
Same
Work on the side as well
the first riff i learned on a electric guitar was by ichika nito
Ye same. Just comes down to that ultimately ans having an effective practise routine
I infact have never had any excercise or practise routines
i just pick something that seems imposibble and practice with a metronome
me too
All of my skill has come from learning songs lmao
only recently i started practicing
Oh really? Thats really sick damn
Which riff
This is the way
Mr before i even knew how to palm mute started trying to learn metallicas The Day That Never Comes
"I miss you"
Was quite the experience as a beginner
i mean couldnt play the whole thing
but tried my best
then i went straight into megadeth
and then straight into infant annihilator
their newest material is pretty much impossible
Man just went to the worst ones right off tge bat
Literally
Yall yap a lot
i mean three bastards is doable
but crazy hard
wish i had time for making songs
I made it in like an hour and a half.
Holy shit this is fire
I love it man
Tight as hell
Whats ur rig and tone?
The tone is real nice
yeah but i am making an album with my friends so gotta be perfect
Like what guitar and amp/plugin?
oh yeah thats fo sho
Thanks! That's just the Neural Mesa Mark IIC+ with a custom GGD IR I was using at the time. I switched to ML Sound Lab with MIKKO 2 making my custom IRs.
And I was using a LTD SN-200 with the stock pups.
The rest is just mixing and shit.
I find that the small imperfections make it perfect. Gonna be honest that wasn't even my best takes on guitar. Just the ones I was happiest with.
i am not talking about takes but about riffs/composition
it sometimes takes me 2 days to figure a riff out
Ahhh. Tbh I was just fuckin around for about a half hour and that song came out naturally.
hell yeah
I got at least a dozen of these that came out naturally I could put together an album rn.
lollll
i need to lock in and finish my song
rn its a rough sketch
but i will record it properly after i get everything figured out
Granted imo they aren't very good but they're fun to play and tbh that's what counts for me. If a song isn't fun to play then it's pointless.
I wrote this last summer, so like a while ago but its part of my first ever fully finishes track (like 5-6 mins long lol)
Its completely unmixed and raw btw
Ibcludinf the drums plugins
Just the stock sound
No bass guitar
holy shit
its so good
And thats when i tried to write a solo for the first time. The breakdown is included as well. From the same track
Kinda ass but i dig it
LMAO
Thank you man!
Big 2000s metalcore vibes.
Oh damn, solid as hell!
The sound is crazy good on that one
Writing is so fun tho
Wish i had more time n motivation for that rn
Thanks brotha! I ran that setup for about 4 years before I switched to ML. Only reason I switched IRs is cuz the GGD ones were way too bright for my tinnitus to handle that I simply had enough.
Thanks, hell yeah!
😭 oh damn, i mean as long as you get tones ur happy with then should be mint
Nr 1 tip what i find abt music is
To create smth youd actively listen to yourseld
Just write for yourself and be your own "biggest fan" in that matter
Yeah. Much my teenage years was basically running loud ass amps through big speakers with my band with no ear pro.
Thats a shame
Can make shit really annoyign with tinnitus and loss of good hearing
Thankfully i started running ear pro when i jammed with my friends
And at concerts at well
Falling asleep with tinnitus wasnt very fun after those 💀
Yeah. It was awesome but as a result my right ear doesn't hear as well and high frequencies above 20k annoy the fuck outta me. But since I was drummer before I was a guitarist, I already had a little tinnitus so I sorta was used to it.
It didn't really annoy me.
Although sleeping with no fan on feels strange sometimes cuz I need that white noise. Living in NYC for your whole life does that XD
Archspire would be proud of you
This one was rough. Made it for one of my college classes.
I had no idea what to do so the last night before it was due I sat my ass down and made it in a single night.
yooo its so cool
just needs vocals
LMAO okay true, still seems incredibly annoying
Can get used to everything
Theres a sayin here
A person can adjust to anything, even to hanging, shakes his legs a little at first but after a bit stops it
💀
NYC is a crazy place😭🙏
Bro I was PANICKING. It's called Frenzied Heart cuz fuck me I was all over the placd.
YOU ARE THE INSTAGRAM GUITARIST ON MY FEED
Lolllllll
Tysm🙏🙏🙏
Thats so cool
Yall are crazy players and writers man
🙏
Its insane
in a single night is crazy
Also what drums are you using?
Fr!
You flatter me brotha.
That would take me days
Just sayin facts man 🙏
GGD Aggressive Rock
I've since switched to EZD3 cuz I like being able to switch my kit pieces.
Plus I've gotten enough confidence to mix drums on my own.
I use free krimh drums cuz i dont want to spend a lot of money on plugins
they do the job pretty well
I did not sleep whatsoever. I was LUCKY I got a fuckin A cuz that song was my FINAL.
No wonder you got an A lol
its great
i wish i had to make songs to pass my exams
its better than physics
I'm taking physics now. Damn it sucks lol...
I didnt have to just make the song, I had to sync it with a video.
And it WORKED.
Oh hell yea
I use cracked ezd3 death metal kit
Also it's not the only song I've done it for >_>
But id love to get my hands on odeholm drums
IngrownToenail I think has it.
If you wouldve gotten smth worse than A then it eouldve been fucking dumb as shit
Oh damn
Just gotta wait for a salw or..
For sb to post the ahwm ahem link
🕵️
Thats INSANE
😭
I don't have the video on me atm. It's on a flash drive but it worked.
This is the other one I did it for last semester.
its begging for a nasty solo🙏
I was required to put in orchestral pieces and I was STRUGGLING. So last minute I said "fuck this I'm combining genres".
Wait til the end.
Of the two I honestly prefer this song.
another banger
Also done in a one night panic.
But honestly I wish I had the technical prowess you guys have.
I'm mean the two of you are absolutely NUTTY
NAH THANK YOU BRO
You too
Youre also insane
Tight as fuck riffing
Wish i had ur compositional prowess
You can damn writr
Okay hear me out
We join forces and make the most goated online band ever 😈🙏
I'd be down for that :3
Idk about prowess brother I can barely read music.
I just do things.
Honestly thatd be interesting and fun yeah
Same :D
Thw things you do are FIRE man
🔥
But aight im off to sleep for tn, goodnight yall 🙏
May your blanket be warm and your pillow be cool king.
Thanks! You too! And hopefully youll have the best day ever :) (i assume ure from america)
Yessir
I need some help with how I should run my pedal board in the right order. I have a tuner, wah, eq, distortion, loop and noise gate/suppression. Could someone help me in the order from guitar to Amp thanks
late but def yoshimitsu taki from 9mm/envy
his choice of effects is unrivalled
i would hop in and share smth ive got but i ac dont have anything 💀
besides one or two very brief ideas
Bro i feel scammed lmao, I ordered mine for 750EUR a week ago, theyve dropped the price on it to 535 EUR???
thankfully im sending it back anyway but
i wonder what could be the cause to that
Got a new amp
As u can see it chugs quite alot
The cleans are great!
(added built in chorus and room reverb)
Reminds me when I ruined one of those small amps
It's not powerful, but I have this too
i hate my damn amp
is it vox ac
What amp
Wait, I think ac15
its a pretty unknown one out there roland ga112
i got to make it sound good after 2 years
I need a new guitar
could be peavey ,marshall valvestate series or crate
nah not that small one
I need a high gain marshall
i think mesa amps sound the best out there
also marshall valvestate series are relatively cheap and sounds like beast
Yeah I need a mesa boogie
And a Roland jazz chorus
The Metallica one
i think second hand old combo amps are the way if you pick the right ones
Like both of ma voxes
i dont really need an amp for clean tones
but man that amp sounds very good
I'm playing both metal and clean stuff so I want both
The jazz chorus?
yes
It does I love the sound
my amp can get cleans done very well thats why i dont need another
Wanna buy one of mine
Which amps do u sell
I'd have to double check what I got laying around I don't even remember nothing very nice just medium sized combo amps
It's enough for me
what r you selling
I have a Vox can't remember the model a Line six, an old peavey amp and one other dinky thing.
They just sit around
may you send peavey and the other dinky
Was more so joking as shipping probably cost the same price as an amp...
Although I can pull them out of storage sometime this week
i wouldnt really buy for that reason tbh just wanted to see
The peavey is ass...
do you know the model of it
I'll see if I still have it written down
It's a peavey blazer158

already saw that
the solo is pretty playable
''pretty playable''
def not the intro tho lol
def sped up
yep
think so as well
still a banger tho
funniest shit ive heard
regarding a soing
nik's reaction was also my honest reaction
Thats one mega ugly guitar

@lethal jewel do you even sweep bruv
still going back to this and thinking ''cant riff'' like holy shit this is the tightest fucking riffing ive heard in a while, the one after the first sweeping section intro is such crazy picking like holy fuck. like not only are the sweeps butter giga clean its just insane bro. how long have you been playing for?
like 3 years
and damn you can COOK a tone bro
3 YEAS?
YEARS?
BRO
WHAT
HOW ARE YOU THIS TECHNICALLY INSANE?
ive been playin for like 3 years ass well
and i cant even do 1/4 of the shit you pull
lot of tech stuff early
tbh fair
i played basically strictly only rammstein for my first 1.5 years of guitar or so
💀
so that could be the issue..
but when it comes to gallops
i am lost lol
also probably thousands of hours of practice
youll master them in a few days of practising probably lmfao
theyre pretty simple actually once you dive into them a bit more
If i really locked then maybe
but i have so much work to do
that i can only practice on weekends
but on weekends
i go crazy
pretty much whole day of practice
Gallops fun
go learn nightbringers from tbdm and youll be gucci
hell yeah
bleed is a very specific technique for alternate picking tbh
no
love this song
its called a herta and its done fully alternate picked
ah
interesting
remember seeing a guy on ig
playing it but
he wasnt even moving his wrist or arm
just his 2 fingers
holding the pick
💀
i’ll just stick to three bastards and disembodied tyrant
bro had the most dead inside stare ever
DT riffs are insane
Full cover (guitars, bass, drums) of Meshuggah's Bleed, at 130 bpm. Enjoy
Instruments used:
Agile Intrepid 9 String
Pod 2.0
Evh 5150 III 50W Head
Marshall 1936 2x12 cab
AT Mics
Ibanez Axstar Bass
Guitar Rig Bass Amp
Toontrack Drums
Logic
note: the audio from the shown rhythm guitar performance is on the right, the prerecorded rhythm on left. I...
it was prob Spirodussias
then there is this maniac
crazy guy
Bro is def gonna be the next guitar legend
Oh yeah he is crazyyyyy efficent
hes not the only one i know that plays like that
love his style tho
i know one guy that can keep up with him quite easily probably
what’s his name?
his name is Chris, hes my coworker from our US store
i mean there is a point in guitar playing where you get so tech that going further is just pointless
the rest comes down to your style
thats mah boy
Anotha one
mans mad
yeeeep
i gotta keep on grinding
literally gliding on the fretboard
tho beno, a good practice routine for rhythm would be anything Fear Factory
mf'er efficient in picking af and extremely tight
I’ll take a look after learning Three bastards
i really want to play that song
also i am really close to playing whole blasphemian
I only need to learn the second part of the second solo and the whole third solo
