#ME1 has "changed files" despite fresh install??

Did you nuke the folder completely when freshly installing? Otherwise, if you merely uninstalled it, mod leftovers might've remained
I tried deleting every "Mass Effect" folder i could find when uninstalling. But that didn't seem to work.
Do you have any suggestions?
D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\ would be the most surefire location to eliminate all which mods might've left behind
Would there be any way to restore a file back to its vanilla version?
Because I think one of the mods had me replace a file with its modded version (before I knew about the mod manager), so idk if I can somehow get it back
Outside of an already existing backup, the Steam repair option might do that for vanilla files but I wouldn't confidently give guarantees in this example
Sadly, verifying the game files didn't work.
Is there a way to completely delete an installation? Because it seems to me like Steam somehow "remembered" the changed texture file when I redownloaded.
Or would it have something yo do with the EA launcher rather than Steam?
Steam cannot "remember" changed texture files, it downloads the same manifest of files every time during installation.
The deletion of the folder I indicated would equivalate a complete installation eradication as far as it is relevant for modding endeavors
Yeah, I just deleted the game folder rather than uninstalling, and I think that worked because Steam seems to recognize it as a completely fresh install.
