teal yoke
#

what folder are you picking?

#

this is telling you that your user account does not have write permissions to the selected directory

#

pick one that you do

stable jungle
#

C:/Program filles/EA Games/Mass Effect Legendary Edition/Game/Launcher Backup

#

i created the launcher backup one

#

And i can't pick other selected directory

teal yoke
#

Why are you putting it in program files

stable jungle
#

it's the only option

teal yoke
#

You can't just pick a folder in documents?

#

It will never work in program files and it's a real bad idea to try

stable jungle
#

no

#

doesn't show MELE in the document

atomic mantle
#

Try the root of your drive.

#

For example C:\MELE\LE1 etc

#

The manager doesn't create the backup folders. You have to.

stable jungle
#

yeah, when i create a new folder says the write error

teal yoke
#

Do not do it in program files

#

It will not work as we just said

stable jungle
#

and if i chose other says the empty error

Uploading a game diagnostic or application log

Upload a diagnostic/log by going to the Help menu and selecting Logs & Diagnostics. Alternatively can also click this link: https://me3tweaks.com/modmanager/protocol/uploadlog

Select an application log (typically the latest), and the game target to run a diagnostic on if this an issue in the game.

When the log has been uploaded, post the LINK to the log here.

already tried every possibility of directions

#

here

#

can't share the link

#

got it

atomic mantle
#

You can't backup inside the games folder

#

Even if that did work, your backup would end up being deleted if using restore.

stable jungle
#

before the game folder, right? i will try

atomic mantle
#

No. Do what I wrote and use the root of your drive.

#

Where is your windows installed?

stable jungle
#

got a folder here and one in MELE before this

atomic mantle
#

Create a folder under C

#

That's what I said

#

Not program files.

stable jungle
#

Sorry if I'm following the wrong tips, I don't speak English that well.

stable jungle
atomic mantle
#

That's alright. What's your language?

stable jungle
#

Brazilian Portuguese

atomic mantle
#

@teal yoke is it alright if I speak in portuguese?

stable jungle
#

you can?

atomic mantle
#

Yup. But I need to ask MG first.

#

Not sure what the language rules are.

#

Since he's one of the devs and this forum is about the mod manager, he needs to be able to understand what's going on.

#

I'd take screenshots but I have no access to my pc right now. And I'm on a mac for now.

stable jungle
#

can you talk in portuguese? or even in english, because i could share my screen and u could tell me what to do.

atomic mantle
#

Sorry I can't.

#

But basically you just go to your C drive and create a folder there. Let's say MELE.
Then you create another folder inside it for the launcher. And another one for LE1. One for LE2. And one for LE3.

stable jungle
#

got it

#

that was dumb of me, it was simple. Thanks for the help though!

atomic mantle
#

Did it work?

stable jungle
#

yeah

atomic mantle
#

Program Files almost always requires admin rights. And even then it'll sometimes ask for more rights.

#

I'd avoid folders such as Documents and Program Files (both)

#

If you have a budget, I'd invest on an external drive. Only a suggestion of course.

#

Glad you got it sorted.

stable jungle
#

You are a good person. Thank you so much.

Not really but your welcome xD
