hello, i recently started noticing my game started randomly crashing in the middle of playing. it doesnt even display a message and i have no clue what is causing it (drivers are up to date, temps of pc are fine and nothing really seems to give away the issue). i verified the game files twice and nothing came up wrong or any files were missing.

Hi guys, so I finally got the game yesterday, but I have been unable to launch it. When I run it on Steam it opens Rockstar Launcher and then the game appears to be running, but only in the background. There is no window for the game, but it shows in the Task Manager. They must be some of the most annoying things in this game. I'm one of those people that just like to play a simple death match with my family own weapons. We obviously DON'T have that, so the closest thing to that, is the Takeover Series. Until Rockstar went ahead and ruined it by adding the "Special Edition" which the only thing it does is to take away your weapons and leave you with a bunch of shitty throwing knives and shotguns (which you have to find on the ground). What is this shit? What's even the point? And the same goes for the Special Edition of the Shootout Series. We should have the option to skip that shit! I can't even do a daily challenge because it seems like 80% of the times that I join a match, us gonna be one of those shitty special edition series. In fact, WHY THE He k don't we have the option to choose which game mode we want to play (instead of it being random)? Honestly rockstar is moronic for making the name your weapon mode, even more moronic for creating special edition mode on top of it and utterly worthless for not allowing players to choose the mode we wanna play. Only choice we get is shootout series , takeover series , or featured series . We should get a choice of exactly what mode we play aswell . Not be forced into a crappy situation full of toxic people that actually makes the special edition modes even worse than it already is

Your only recourse for this is through Rockstar. That's something that only they can help you with, and unfortunately you'll probably have to keep submitting tickets until you get someone who isn't an idiot.

There might also be a delay between them removing it and the removal actually taking effect, but I don't know.

I am a relatively new player and I have a few questions regarding the game, if any could answer me, would be good 🙂

1. Are there any regions or different servers? Or in theory I am an EU player could play with my friend if she decides to join who is from the US?

2. I have read that there are no more "free aim lobbies" and every aim type is mixed, that made my first few PvP experience really bad. I found some inteersting stuff about hardcore PvP (where everybody is equal in terms of stats) is that hardcore mode a seasonal thing or is that in the game all the time?

3. Regarding the #2 question (if the game mode is not avaliable), anybody knows a good way to bind my controller to my keyboard+mouse? I have made some macros and managed to bind my mouse aim to the controller aim and works well (for aim assist purposes) until I press any other button and the game registers my controlls from keyboard/mouse and instantly losing my ability to help with aim assist. Guess I'd have to bind every action from keyboard+mouse to mimic the controller to fully take advatange of this perk but don't know any software

(FIX) for Game Crashing After 10-15mins Issue: This worked for me so maybe it'll work others... After I switched the API from Vulcan to DX12 (or vise versa), I disconnected all wireless peripherals and went straight wired with just keyboard, mouse, and, headset. Then I enabled Full Screen Optimization on the RDR2.exe file... 3.5 hours, no crash.

I'm guessing there is a bug with Bluetooth.

It’s happened in two lobbies.

I have 1 last daily quest and it’s “successfully fended off an ambush” and I’ve been trying to get ambushed for several hours, then I finally get ambushed at O’Creagh’s Run, up by grizzlies East and it says I still have yet to complete it. Was this encounter not an ambush? Because like 30 dudes came out of nowhere and “AMBUSHED” me but it still didn’t work

And yes I killed all of them, and I didn’t die in the process

And I have video proof on ps4, I can trim it and upload it on YouTube if needed

Im extremely disappointed with the blood money expansion . I was promised robberies alot of players were promising actual robberies . And what we got was bull crap if rockstar as a company is gonna promise robberies it should keep the promise all the way not half-ass it . The blood money update is just crap clear and simple . We need freeroam robberies like in story mode . This is a wild west game and it should be written that way , store robberies , bank hold ups , stagecoach and actual train robberies like in story mode . Also charging 52 gold for the aruther haraway outfit is completely utterly ridiculous it shouldn’t cost anything close to that it should cost rdo$ not gold and real money . Rockstar as a company has screwed over and disappointed its players once again. Im not submitting this in customer feedback because I doubt the feedback ever gets read and used to make the game better. Rockstar needs to fix all the bull crap addressed in this help ticket. you cant steal horses on online, you can only do that in story mode. the best you can do is find out what breed and coat it is so you can eventually buy it or just keep it around for that session

3. ⁠The console should boot in safe mode and ask you to connect your controller via USB. Do it.

6. ⁠Select Clear System Cache (first option)
7. ⁠System should automatically reboot after selecting it.
