Online story missions aren't that bad i really enjoyed them

I also preferred the gunslinger path

I believe they're the only missions that aren't affected by the mechanic where wait longer=more money

I was drinking in the valentine saloon and this guy ran in and shot me with some dual sawn-offs, so naturally, I was about to whoop his ass.
However, the guy decides to leave after the kill, like this is some GTA K/D warrior bull
Luckily for me, he left his profile online, so I joined him, and went to kill him
He used toxic moonshine to flush me out of the top floor in the valentine barn, but what he didn't realize is that by flushing me out, he put me in a perfect flanking position, so I rounded a corner and shot him with an explosive arrow, because I think he had slip so bow made sense and I left

Actually, I think my recent victories have been due to my recent switch in weapons, I've started using the bow because I need a slip counter and I'll never get good at scopes, Sawn-offs for close range, which have won me multiple fights and an Evans repeater, it's accuracy over damage, a headshot weapon by all accounts, plus the large ammo capacity makes it a decent hipfire weapon and I don't have to reload it constantly, everyone seems to think my card loadout sucks tho

long time lurker here; played through single player several times (just recently started my 4th play through) and never really played RDO so I spun it up last night and finished the initial series of events to get to where I can start venturing out - I'm more of a solo style play type - any tips for starting out with RDO after playing single player?

Kinda you want to earn money first, so I recommend robbing houses, carriages, ETC until you get enough money for the Elephant Rifle, buy it do some blood money earn 300-500 then grind for gold buy some new weapons then buy a bounty hunting license, grind for 1-2 hours you should have 10-12 gold buy a business,Moonshine,trader,naturist, for some easy money, once you get 500-1000 that’s when you start spending real cash,horses,guns,outfit,ETC, by then you should have met a life long friend who will help you on your journey grind with them then finally, after 1-7 months you should have gotten a pretty good account, now finish all those missions you haven’t, then chill, buy expensive ammo, weapons, and help new players as you were once one.
By then you should be rank 100-200!

I started off by doing call to arms for 5 gold for first time completing then farmed bandit camps for treasure maps

Call to arms also levels you up super fast so every five ranks get even more maps

1 gold bar per map to

I had a mustang early really good to start off with

Why? Because I can do it passively crap ton of xp and I can join my friend or anyone else doing bounties and still earn just as much gold

Within a week of on and off playing hit rank 50

Now I’m like rank 58 hasn’t played in a bit but all I do now is pvp trolls and players super high level for fun

Usually if it's a wagon delivery or something, the area around the turn in point is a safe zone so you can't be killed. It's a really dumb system but eh

I hit rank 53 in like 3 days. Each day you do a complete map wipe of collectibles. That should get you to earn good chunk of money. Also, you don’t need to collect everything. Just skip fossils and cards and focus on rest of the stuff. You’ll get lots of duplicates and if you do the run twice a day, you can have 10x duplicate sets. That should get you around $9000+ easily but if you do the whole map for 3 consecutive days, you’ll have the freedom to buy stuff forever

but keep in mind, you’re not getting any gold from this. Only cash

I prefer Mausers and LeMat Revolvers, the flexibility of a shotgun shot on LeMats or regular revolver rounds is nice

Mausers are great for dead eye headshotting a bunch of targets at once

Both are also very solid with Gunslinger's Choice

If you have the gold for the LeMat Revolvers Variant they're quite strong and very good stats

Check all the bonus of a week if you want to know from where you can check there are many youtubers covering those updates so you can check one of their videos personally I prefer hazard also there are new blood money missions which you may not know about they are good for cash especially when there is a bonus on them which is from what i remember is currently going on though it's not that simple to earn money from it as there is a brand new currency which you need in order to start those missions called as capitale i prefer you check a guide to exactly learn how those missions work other than that all the people are using previously used grinding methods which are mainly used by doing the role work which i think you will be knowing as you previously used to play and had all the roles

It actually depends if you are just looking for gold or do you want cash as well from what i know both of their gold payouts are the same and works on the same principle so it doesn't matter much but blood money missions gives more money and capitale. Capitale will help you start missions with a much higher payout in cash but the gold payout still stays the same. You can find capitale by looting bodies in those missions. The blood money missions are also a little tougher especially the higher payouts one. The story mode from what i remember also works on the same principle in paying out gold. Stranger missions cash and difficulty varies depending upon the stranger from which you took the mission from. All in all of you are just looking for gold you can start with whichever you find more fun if you are just looking for gold

The ammo yeah, it'll fill out the damage bar fully if you use explosive. It's just showing what it's highest damage potential is essentially

Just consider it an annoying visual reminder and hoard your explosive ammo for innocent players who did nothing wrong to you
