what you need to do is start a timer, right at the moment when you see the bounty hunt started (you see a banner on the screen) you want to deliver at 12 minutes that way you make the most gold

most of the time you can just collect until about 6 minutes, and then go do the bounty

it rarely takes more than 6 minutes to finish them if you know what you are doing

you can also deliver at 9 minutes and its only slightly less efficient
