since using a controller allows less movement and precision (limited to only a thumb of controller compared to an entire arm like with mouse) it’s really just a tiny guide that helps you basically lock on quickly, but everything else is still up to the player

If you're on pc and use a mouse then go into settings and turn on free aim you get a butt-ton of xp

One of my best memories of Red Dead was when I bought it on Steam and tried to run it on my low-quality laptop
Joined a session and almost immediately got into a battle, so I spent ten minutes fighting some dude on the lowest graphic settings and about 20 FPS while my laptop was screaming

Maybe it helps at lower levels, but as you get higher in level that 25 XP gain becomes irrelevant

Aim assist is great but if I’m fighting in defensive I turn on free aim since it’s forced free aim already
