Cool. I would go hunting. Trader is paying really well. When I first started RDO, I started with hunting Alligators because the big ones seldom run away when your gun goes off. Bison and Grizzlies fill your trader materials bar quick but are harder to get and the Grizzlies will attack so it's harder to get a Perfect skin.

Something to know about calling a wagon (trader or bounty hunter). Stand in the middle of a road before you call it. Otherwise it can't find you. Sometimes happens even when standing in the road but mostly it's best to stand in the road

I did something last night that surprised me. Really wasn't interested in playing but wanted to keep my Streak so I logged in and putzed around. I brought the results of my day's hunting. The materials bar was almost empty so I turned in my 5 items and it completely filled my materials bar. If I had been hunting Big Game and Legendaries I would have expected it but I had a Perfect fox, a perfect coyote, a Perfect White tail, a perfect pronghorn and a good bison. And just that filled the bar.

It's best to do the delivery once the wagon's full, since it'll halt your production. It doesn't stack, so you might lose some materials if you donate say a 3 star buck (which is worth 25 materials) and you're sitting on 90 materials. You'll lose the excess 15 materials.

I like watching the skyline for smoke and race to it. I'm even going to try riding a train as far as it goes, which falls in line with my sight-seeing/exploring.

I use the Carcano Rifle but that's my preference and I couold afford it

Set up camp in Gaptooth Ridge, preferably south of Tumbleweed. The terrain is very even and local deliveries are usually really short. There's a specific camp location next to the river, just above the A & N of San Luis, where local deliveries will take literally a minute to complete. If you're looking to farm xp, keep delivering 1 good everytime. You'll still receive 200 xp regardless of it being 1 or 100 goods.

I just found an NPC Bounty on a long train trestle all hog-tied and ready to go. So I turned him in and got the pay for a live bounty. Very nice. I wonder if someone dropped him and didn't notice or what

I think I figured it out. Menu for Benefits/Trader Bonuses. The last paragraph says to "Stock up on Perfect Carcasses, Pelts, Skins and Hides to earn 2X Trader Materials." In other words, the Materials bar fills up twice as fast with Perfect items. But it does say that you should get 2X RDO$, XP and Role XP. I tested both login options (Free Roam and 2X Trader Bonuses) and got 2X in both options. So, I still don't know the difference between them.

I would. anything works in a pinch but as I got better, I found it "beneath me" to keep anything less than perfect. I do keep the random Good for different reasons, like wolves coming out of nowhere. If I can get them with my Bolt Action Rifle, it doesn't mess up the hides too bad

And the Refined Binoculars? Really handy and uses the Eagle Eye for as long as you are looking through them. Basically you can see all the glowing things (Humans, animals, treasure...)

Each role has items specific to that role. Clothing, weapons and mounts. In the Benefits menu is where I check my Progress for each role and as I achieved each rank level, it unlocks those items. Some ranks have good stuff and some have nothing.

Regarding the Horse Teams, When you reach the Distinguished rank in Bounty Hunting, you unlock the Breton team and buy it for RDO$950. It says you get "Two distinguished Bretons with rare coats"

I guess I'll just buy the teams, raise my stable upkeep some more and see what it does...

Weird. The catalog doesn't off the option of buying the teams but the rank rewards do... Guess I'll have to find a stable
