Nothing really, there is both honorable and dishonorable missions and after that you’re free to do whatever you like in rdo. I’d suggest maybe buying some sort role (I suggest bounty hunter as your first role as you earn both gold and money for that) but if you do not have enough gold for any roles then I’d suggest to do stranger missions until you have enough gold for a role

I have bought the ability to travel from my camp and I read the document.
But nothing much happened.
What does this document do ?

As part of the Naturalist role you receive a Wilderness camp, which basically allows you to craft anywhere on the go. Previously the ability to fast travel was part of the "Battle Pass" but now I believe it is locked behind this document you mention.

TLDR; Once you get the wilderness camp you should be able to fast travel from it.

So you need to be level 5 in Naturalist then buy Wilderness Camp from Harriet and read the document. Then buy a document that allows you to fast travel from Fence (I forgot the name of the document). Don't forget to read them.

PS: people have reported that there is a 6 minutes cool down before Capitale spawns again. Which means waiting a little before starting the next mission 🤠

My advice would be to unsubscribe or uninstall the mods to be safe. OR complete story mode first.

As a side note... "Impacting the gameplay experience of other players?" That is a broad field that would almost discourage player interaction if Rockstar was still supporting the game

You can use it while moving.

In my opinion, the Weapon Locker is quite useful to store your unused weapons so you don't have to look for weapons that you want to use in the saddle for too long.

Camera for the Naturalist Role. Worth it for completing categories.

Weapon Locker for storing basic weapons like the cattleman and carbine.

They are not "useless" if you discover what they are useful for, or prioritize guns, cards and horses first.

Do the yellow missions on your map for now, they’ll get you started off
If you can get any help, do bounty hunting with somebody that has the role, that’ll get you gold without having to actually pay for it and it’s usually good pay
Look out for the monthly x2 xp and money events cause they’re almost always the best way to make money (besides naturalist)

If people are offering to let you join their large deliveries I’d do that too, can be a really easy couple hundred dollars if all goes well

• The Red Arabian was my middling horse and it held me in good stead.
• I would argue that if you want to save money, you could invest in a decent saddle and stirrups instead. Then you have decent gear for your next horse.
• Remember to check carefully for the best buffs. Stamina drain rate is probably the most important stat.
• If rank is not the issue, a saddle would be your best investment.

For now, find deer and bucks around Blackwater and New Hanover.

Use 'show info' when aiming at them. You want a perfect or 3-star for most materials.

Aim for the head or lasso them. You can lasso a dead animal without penalty and have one on your saddle.

In the future you can unlock the hunting wagon to store 5 perfect large animals, which you can call and dismiss when you get 2 or 3 perfects at a time.

Legendary pelts and Naturalist missions come later.

If you want to level up quick, spam deliveries. You get the same experience no matter how big it is, and at rank 10 you get the big wagon for more money. Do the resupply missions for more experience.

Do five straight daily challenges in game and get 5 gold bars OFF on price for a ROLE. It is essentially 15 Gold bars.

The Bounty Hunter role is what 20 or 25 Gold Bars to buy into it.

The General Daily challenges is the largest list of 7 things. Normally you can get some of them done. All you need to do is get one done.

I'm so low-level, I can't have hooded stirrups on the Nacogdoches saddle yet, so Upland is a nice alternative, which also goes better with some horses in terms of looks. And the Regent accessories are way nicer than the Guerrero stuff, at least in my opinion.

But yeah, those bounty hunter outfits are cringe.

Make sure you are in Defensive mode and if needed step into or use anything that removes you from the server instance. Such as using a shop store catalog or post office teller. Thats when you see people turn into a ghost. Or go into a clothing store and use the wardrobe. Can go into your camp tent and make sure your camp white flag is up for defense.

I do not call them modders. That title actually denotes effort and skill use. All they do it click buttons to do things in a app. They are just cheaters. Someone else put the effort in to make that app and they have skill.

Express rounds and slugs are the best I believe.

Unlock explosive buckshot if you want to be ultra scummy.

Litchfield has more damage over the Lancaster but is more inaccurate. Use Paint it Black if you prefer higher damage.

Mauser has less damage than the Lemat but reloads faster. Depends if you prefer to spray over aim.

How does rdo work? I always thought it would be like gta in that it comes with the base game, and (like on PS4) you need ps plus (or xbox equivalent) but I saw "Read Dead Online" on the xbox store and steam. Do you really have to pay extra for online? And do you have to also pay for xbox live if you want RDO on xbox?

It comes with the base game, but you can buy it separately. Kind of like Ghost of Tsushima and the Legends multiplayer

Do Stranger missions that lower your honour. Double payout this month. 12 minutes for good payout.

If you put in a day's work you can reach low honour easily

That always works for me. Sometimes, the horse isn't quite far enough away yet, then I'm in stable limbo for a few seconds, but it eventually works.

it's good for money but it's faster to get the same amount with bounty hunter

For some items, yeah. For tarot cards and alcohol, not really. You just get everything, or at least everything you need, and you'll have guaranteed full sets.

Thankfully jewlery can spawn in a fixed point which makes it easier to snap up.

Fossils don't work for me, but for jewelry, don't worry. You'll have complete sets soon enough. If you haven't already, though, remember to get the trinkets before you start selling jewelry required for those!
