The only horse stealing mission I know of is the beginning of the game, which is like a tutorial. You have to do that solo. Once the tutorial is complete you can enter free roam, join or invite friends to your lobby, and form a posse for them to join

It’s tough to start. Every 5 levels gives you a treasure map. Those average around 1 gold bar per map I’d say. But they vary. Some are .4 and some are 1.5 or so. Otherwise do as many dailies as you can, and do at least one every day to get a streak going. Each week it gives more gold up to 4 weeks

Also I think you can get 10 free gold from making a social club acct and enabling 2fa

Hopefully you have all the roles by now. Start a strong moonshine batch then go see Harriet. Use naturalist to get a legendary animal, kill it and bring it to cripps. Do that a few times to fill your trader wagon and do a distant delivery. That’s good for $625 a pop. Do bounties and moonshine runs while you wait for the trader wagon to fill. You can also do your treasure maps if you haven’t already

Usually you start by sampling the legendary animals for Harriet. Then you kill them either for Gus or donate to cripps. Selling to Gus makes the most sense after Harriet imo since he only needs one each. You’ll be supplying cripps forever after that

Yeah I’m always in Wapiti Reservation, that’s my camp site always.
Only times trains go by is when an actual player either brings the train towards that area or NPCs are travelling by with that smaller train the supplies for someone’s trader.

I think I can invite you to my posse, start a naturalist mission, you kill the ram and keep the pelt. But my missions don’t reset for another 45 minutes so it isnt possible right now

im not sure becasue the ram is a specific mission but once i was playing and some dude came riding through rhodes with a bison pelt on his horse so i stole it, sold it in saint denis and i am able to buy the garmet

it's not that bad honestly. if you know how to get gold it's really not that bad

for getting gold, just build up a daily challenge streak, complete each treasure map you get because each one gives 1 gold bar on average (sometimes more), and then buy into your first role

bounty hunter is the only role that pays direct gold for each mission, so that's not a bad option, but for money collector is your best bet
