Best place to look for them is in any location in where they’re at, their spawn is random and so is their pelt.

Your status can change from defensive to offensive while you do deliveries.

Depending on he delivery length is how soon your status gets changed by the game.

A short run and it generally changes near he end I think. A long run and is changes about 1/3 the way after start. I do not consider the long runs to be worth the risk of loss.

No matter how you run it the risk of loss is always there due to cheaters.

Don’t worry about it! As long as you don’t shoot first in defensive you’ll be better off. They can’t lock on aim when you’re in it, and if they attack you you can fight back but stay in defensive, they also can’t hog tie you or use knifes I believe

As a newer player, I found the whole game experience changed once I learned to chill out. Yes, some people will outright try to hogtie or kill you, but the majority of fights I ended up in early on were misunderstandings where one party got jumpy or appeared aggressive. Just be cool around other players. Be vigilant, but play it cool. Walk, don’t run when overtaking or approaching and don’t get up in their space. Get a few emotes and shoot greetings to them. Since I figured this out, the game plays much differently.

Trader is a beast for $$, but I think my moonshine shack will produce faster once it’s fully upgraded. That said, trader is still fantastic and has the added benefit of allowing posse members to profit from deliveries - a great tool for building a crew

Moonshine is more passive, since you don’t have restock supplies, you just buy the mash, flavor it, and then level it alone for like an hour

You buy the shine and let it prepare while you hunt and fill your camp. Steadily selling your moonshine and traders as soon as they fill up is how you money grind as a solo player.

Pitch your camp near your shack. Always be going back and forth and checking things and make sure you're keeping supplies up for your trader so you limit the time it is spent not operational.

You have to buy the bar and the band, but yeah,they are a lot of fun if you feel like hanging out sometimes before a delivery

The essential things for the role are the shovel and metal detector. Other than that, just buy some maps from nazar and you’ll quickly start to see the patterns of where things are, and you’ll start remembering spots without the maps. The spots rotate so you can’t always expect things to be there, but it’s helpful to try and remember where you found something cuz it’ll be back.

Just be social in-game. Join posse invites, run an open posse, and don’t be afraid to interact with players you encounter in-game. TBH, much of the fun I’ve had in the game comes from organic interactions with people I’ve encountered in-game.

Yes you’ll need the license. It’s a great choice for a first role since you can get active immediately and earn gold. Do as many dailies as possible too. Those also give gold and it gets decent if you do at least 1 every day and always have a streak going

It’s fun but can be slightly addictive. I don’t think it’s really p2w since buying gold would only really unlock the roles earlier for you. You’d still grind out the ranks, so it makes more sense to just play and learn a role like bounty Hunter, so you earn gold from that and dailies etc while you learn to play. If anything maybe just buy the one time 1/2 price pack for 25 gold to get your first role right away. But even that isn’t necessary

Try to Posse up with someone with a high level trader, or do some bounty hunting, you can make pocket cash by hunting, but not much

Best way to do it is in this discord or the RDO discord, ask around, ping the right roles. You wont meet too many friendlies in game at a low level. Go around in defensive, stay clear of towns like Blackwater and Valentine, thats where drama goes down most often. Stick to the less inhabited areas before you have a posse, or are in defensive mode (which until a higher level, or rolling with a gang, you should always be in, outside of missions that require it to be off)

honestly there are more low level griefers for sum reason but its easier to deal with them its the best to not stick arround popular towns such as saint denis and others

By the time you get to 5 stars, it'll be easy anyway. Not much changes, just the usual enemies take a bit more to die, they hit a bit harder, and you don't see their icons on the map

Hi, don’t know where to ask this but anyone else experiencing random crashes on rdo pc via steam? I’ve checked everything, and my pc is fine and updated. Started happening a couple days ago and never had any issues

The whole game is one glitch at this point honestly 😭 the stable one i don’t experience that often anymore, but when i call my horse it doesn’t spawn or it constantly bucks me off

well for me i experienced the stable glitch alot the way to fix it is to tell ur horse to flee and then enter the stable but yeah the whole game is a glitch theres only more and more and neither one gets fixed
