There are plenty of things to do for newer people. Just got too look around. Try some YouTube vids. Gather some gold and unlock the Bounty Hunter role. That can get you the gold to unlock the other roles.
Trader is one of the better roles for making money now and can gain levels decently fast.
Every 5 character levels and you get a free treasure map.

i use the norfolk and i feel like he's the best horse i got but its prolly because ive used it so much, max speed, 1 square away from max acc and just a lvl shy of max stamina, also doesnt get scared easily, remember tho, with the right saddle and max trust stamina basically doesnt matter

I never shot anyone with a poison ed arrow. Does it still do a ton of damage. There really isn't anything in the game to ward off poison damage.

Every 5 lvls you get a free Treasure map. Go out at night and look about. If you see any tree's with lights on them it is a free random Treasure map. Take out bandit camps and knock out the bandit leader and search him to get a (most likely) free Treasure Map. Or kill him and check the hidden chests for it. Some missions pay in gold. You do not have to be a bounty hunter for those.

I have only done a lil bit of fossil collecting. I usually do not bother with it. Some fossiles may be in metal lock boxes.
In a lot of cases you can use Eagle Eye to find collectables.

Thats pretty much PvP unless you can speak with a group and just set it up to do that for a moment. Sounds like you just got to jump in on there fun and shoot some of the npc's

Ya. Go to a stranger mission giver that you are familiar with. They give out a few different kinds but usually in the same area. Run back and forth from those areas listening for gunshots. If and when you hear some just shoot up a bunch of the NPC's and you will probably get it.

Hi the only way to block someone is by pressing L, go to players, select the player, view profile which opens his SC Profile, click the 3 dots ... And than block him. Not 100% sure if it works with modders

You are not too bad off then. You do some of the story again maybe online and then you get a choice in roles. But you do have to buy the roles. The better one to buy first is the Bounty Hunter as you get gold doing that and it can help pay for the other roles you may be interested in.

Up to you. I would say buy the 15 and later on upgrade with 5 more gold.
Buy the time you get to lvl 20 in the 15 gold basic Bounty Hunter you will have enough gold to upgrade it and or buy another role.
