I was thinking of "To Fight Another Day" for less damage when running or "The Unblinking Eye" to make my dead eye last longer, but idk if they're better than my current build

I’ve got 2 really annoying glitches happening and it’s disruptive to my gameplay

#

(1.) I cannot enter the stables. Character just gets off the horse and stands there like a dick and I have to close the app and restart it.

(2.) When I accept a player bounty it doesn’t start the mission for ages then when it eventually does, there’s like 54 seconds left on the timer.

for the stable thing, I overheard some dudes (before they went on to torment me and valentine w their gang) mentioning that you can wait about 5 minutes for the stables to work

but what I did was dismiss my horse then walk in on foot, lagged a second but then it worked fine, only tried it once tho so idk if its a for sure fix

A dead horse will come back to life in like a minute or two if you have horse insurance, if you don't I think you have to go to a stable and pay
Alternatively, you can buy horse revivers at the stable, stand next to your horse as its dying and it should let you heal it, but if its DEAD dead you can't use it

The collector role is the best way to make actual money, but in my opinion it's really damn boring bc you have to run across the whole map collecting things over and over to sell them

Bounty hunting is the best job for getting gold bars, and the legendary bounties are easy money once you master one or two of them (I recommend "Etta Doyle", there are tons of videos on how to finish it without even shooting a single bullet)

Personally, I recommend becoming a bounty hunter first because all the roles need you to pay gold to get them unlocked, so, you might as well unlock the gold giving role first

And an important tip lots of beginners don't realize is that you get paid and rewarded more if you take LONGER during missions
For example, if you're bounty hunting, wait outside the sherriffs office with the bounty until the clock goes down a few minutes before handing it in for a bunch more cash, xp and gold (there are also lots of videos on which is the perfect time to wait, iirc people said waiting 7 minutes is the best for grinding)

I'll try giving a few other random tips

#

Get the "Lancaster Repeater" ASAP, it unlocks at a low level and is widely considered the most useful all-around gun
Good damage, good fire rate, good reload speed, good range, has an option to use a scope, etc, just a W starting weapon all around

Also, buy ability cards as soon as possible and equip them as soon as possible (you'll see the option on the weapon wheel) bc leveling them takes a long time, so might as well do it while you're just playing normally
To buy an ability card costs $50, to upgrade it to level two requires $350, and to upgrade it to level five requires $500

#

If you're low on cores and you hang around valentine a lot like me, you can eat from the stew pot by the campsite in valentine for free, and it respawns if you leave valentine and come back, so infinite free food

Try a shotgun with slugs. Also, make sure to use deadeye before taking your first shot so you get a bunch of shots in before the panther attacks

Its been a glitch for the last month or so. To fix it you can flee your horse manually before entering the stable. It works like 50/50 but what almost made it 100% a fix was never calling your horse and going to the stable right when u start the game

night pivot is the breton worth getting, under the bountyhunter role?

People have done testing and horse stats aren't all that important. Speed and acceleration barely make a difference, most people recommend you just get a horse you like the most.

If you REALLY want good stats while also having decent looking horses, I recommend the Mustang(only 500 bucks, early game) as its got MAX health, MAX stamina, and really high speed and acceleration iirc. It might even be the best all-around horse in the game, but imo i don't like it since its one of the shorter ones

My personal favorite breed is a tie between the Turkoman and the Breton. Turkoman has max health and better speed stats than the mustang(can't remember exactly what), the stamina is lower but stamina means absolutely nothing once you've got a max bond, a good saddle and stirrups

The Breton, stat wise, is just worse than both, but dear God does is look cool. The steel grey is proportioned to look thick and rigid but still lean and mean, AND its fairly tall, easily my favorite intimidating horse

but again, its up to you, just go for what horse you think looks best

(also, you can "change" the size of the specific horse you want to buy by hovering over it in the menu, hovering to a different horse, and back to the one you want. Keep doing this till its as tall or short as you want it and can get it)

Hi guys! I just wanted to play some RDO today and met some creepy skeleton that had the same name as my character. It also was marked as a player on the map. It was passive until I hit it long enough with the elephant rifle (I don't think that's the real English name but that doesn't really matter). Then it went red and shot me. Does anybody know what that is all about? Is that a new feature or did somebody hack in the that session or something? Any ideas?

Welcome, I too am a bit new to the scene however I'm enjoying it greatly. Firstly you start off a bit blind it feels until your inevitable death-by-player.
Fortunately nothing is ever lost beyond pride in these scenarios.
Secondly as far as making money I've been lucky to find others doing bounties; which always pays well. Or if alone, I do blood money or stranger missions. The pay is meh until you get your first role. With something like honor it seems certain missions are for either side of the spectrum so there's that, but I wanna say it feels like you're meant to be bad online.

And once you set it down get far enough where the animal can't see you. But you can see it.

if u come across legendary animal, u can kill it then u skin it and put the pelt on ur horse, then u find gus on the map and take it to him, but first u need to go to strawberry hotel to go thru the cut scene before u r able to see where gus is

The stables are glitched. This is how to fix it.

Shoo your horse away. Make it flee till it is completely gone from your minimap.
Walk in the stable.
When you leave you should leave on your horse.

#

Calling your Hunter Wagon is also glitched.

#

Make your horse flee and when the horse is gone then call your Hunter Wagon.

#

Those are the current work-arounds for those glitches.

In my experience there's probably a 1 in 10 chance you'll get a cheater in any group activities and series and such

I have used a stamina build. Can't say wether it is great or not as I do not do so much of the PvP, but it seems pretty good.
