How does naturalist even work do I just look at animals and get money lol. I'm new to the whole thing I was wondering if it was a role worth picking up

I honestly only got the role so I could unlock legendary animal missions + wilderness camp & for both of those you need to rank up to at least rank 5 to unlock

But to get xp at first you need to do poacher missions given to you by harriet, basically you just take out. A bunch of poachers and free an animal that they were holding in a cage

The other thing I did was buy sedative ammo for the varmint rifle (sold by harriet) and animal reviver and basically just sedated every animal there over and over and collected their samples & revived them. Then selling the samples to harriet gives you xp I believe

But for 25 gold I'm not sure if it's worth it

It's so slow to rank it up at first and it's sort of confusing as to what to do

Everything gives such little xp for naturalist

Buttttt I ranked up to rank 5 and bought the wilderness camp & then bought thr wilderness camp fast travel skill page and now I can basically fast travel from anywhere so that's real useful

Bc ur still killing. Honour doesnt go by context of actions, just by the actions themselves. Ive been attacked by dogs before and ran them over on my horse or shot them, and i lose honour even if its self defense

I think a foxtrotter would be good enough as a beginner. Or see what horses are on sale and buy one of them ☺️ It's not really about the best horse, it's more the saddle and stirrups.

Nacogdoches saddle and hooded stirrups are one of the best, and you need to be lvl 25 on bounty to get the Improved saddle, that one is good too.

So your looking at two things. Fox Trotters are faster, but mustangs can get full health and stamina bars. Fox Trotters if you want speed. Mustangs aren’t slow but are good all around.
