Anyone else noticing a distinct lack of animals in the great plains?

There used to be packs of pronghorns and whitetail deer, but now I can only ever find the occasional bird, maybe a single cougar at night.

Switching sessions fixes nothing.

The one thing that seems off, is that I'm seeing these hunting wagons without horses in the great plains. Maybe some new glitch/hack is being exploited?

Go to strawberry, activate the cutscene with gus, the trapper, and harriet, the naturalist. Then she'll appear near lagras, macfarlanes ranch, and hanging dog's ranch. You need to become a naturalists (15gold) to unlock the benefits, and the role is primarily about legendary animals.

Yeah, it's part of the bounty hunter role, which by the way, I suggest you get first.

Bounty hunter is easily the best in terms of fun, rewards, and gold out of the roles.
