If you are running Vulkan and have an RTX card, RDR2 treats DLSS as the “preferred” upscaler.
Any time the game thinks settings are invalid or changed externally, it silently turns DLSS back on.
Triggers include:
• Resolution change
• Window mode change
• Driver update
• Switching Vulkan ↔ DX12
• Sometimes just restarting the game

Launch RDR2
Go to Settings → Graphics
Set DLSS = Off
Click Apply
Exit the game completely
Open this folder on your PC:
Documents\Rockstar Games\Red Dead Redemption 2\Settings
Open system.xml with Notepad- Find this line:

Save the file
