The best guns for me are the litchfield repeater and the double barreled shotgun

And the schofield revolvers

actually the best guns in the game are schofield revolver, lancaster repeater and the pump-action shotgun but your choice for the weapon you'd select so

Litchfield does more damage than Lancaster

The double barreled shotgun does more damage and more overall range than most shotguns

With express rounds and everything

Express rounds for litchfield and then just slugs for the shotgun

Which the double barreled shotgun is a great option for new players because you get it as early as chapter 2

Then you can get Lancaster early too until you can buy a litchfield

Litchfield deals 53.25 damage and is extremely inaccurate. This makes it difficult to land shots which makes it overall an unreliable weapon.
Lancaster deals 42.55 damage and has the greatest accuracy of the repeaters. This makes it much more reliable than the Litchfield and Carbine. It isn't lacking in any stat and is overall a very solid weapon.
