Best to farm them early in chapter 2 so there will be plenty of opportunities to raise your honor later, plus you can use the pig farm trick to transfer whatever gains to John.

I’m in chapter 4, I’m just doing the bandit challenges and a train seemed the easiest way to get $50 off people

Covers about a third of my bounty but I got the challenge done

I never bothered paying off bounties as Arthur. You lose them all when becoming John.

I also like looting bounty hunters, their loot is pretty good.

My method for a playthrough is farm trains in chapter 2 until I have a truck load of cash, then progress through the game normally and regain honor from the honor missions in chapter 6, then use the pig farm trick to transfer the money to John.

Yeah that is the easiest way to do that one.

If you wanted to avoid the bounty you could have hijacked the train and parked it in the tunnel up north before robbing the passengers.

I pretty much farmed trains in West Elizabeth with a max bounty.

You can get $10+ per each passenger, not including whatever items they give you.

And there's usually about 3-5 passengers in each car.

I personally like to fast travel to a train station that isn't located in a town so when law comes after you, they only come in a few waves then stop spawning after you kill them off. I rob the train cars, kill the guards, then blow the safes with dynamite then fight of the lawmen, then loot everything I can. Then I fast travel to another similar location and repeat. Whenever I'm low on dynamite I'll fast travel to Emerald Ranch and get them from the fence.

You can access most of the map in Chapter 2, pretty much everything pre-epilogue.

Sell ALL perfect skins and carcasses you come across to the trapper, anything good or poor just sell to the nearest butcher or donate it to camp.

You'll save a lot of headache if you give all perfect skins and carcasses to the trapper.

(that depends if you plan on unlocking all the trapper clothing)

And yeah, legendary skins definitely should be given to the trapper.

So if it doesn't respawn during the epilogue, then you won't have it during the epilogue.
