I wanted to get two perfect pelts for the satchel and the saddle. So i camped nearby and waited for it to spawn. Usually they are already spawning in the evening. At night they do spawn but they're harder to spot.

You have to get all the satchels, but to unlock some satchels you have to upgrade the camp too. The last satchel is from crafting all the lower level satchels.

Badgers and raccoons are around lemoyne so I usually go in those forrested areas near clemens point for them. The panthers and cougars arent really chapter based. You can hunt them whenever you like, chapter wise, but they spawn every 2 game days at most. For panthers mostly in the evening.
