Alright thanks for the information, the small island I was fishing for it on was about 10-17 alligators away from where the fish appeared, so getting it from the small island would be extremely difficult

You don't need pamphlets to craft arrows, but you do need pamphlets to craft poison arrows... and DYNAMITE arrows. Dynamite arrows tend to reduce the quality of pelts, though, and though it kills both guys on wagons you want to steal, it tends to blow them up with the guys riding on the wagons... so they are hard to sell too.

I found a spot north of Saint whatever by the alligators that I use for feathers, cause you kill an alligator and the birds try to feed on it, and then you blow away the birds trying to feed on it, and you pluck them and then more birds try to feed on the alligator and the dead birds, and I blow them away...
Switch to a varmint rifle after you kill the alligator that seem not to ever move while on land...

If it doesn't spawn in the "indicated" place, sleep for 72 hrs and go back... it should spawn... unless you're suffering from white out blindness

I actually had a heck of a time with those too. If you don't want a Horrible bounty/honor lose. Go to the Station north of Strawberry(Wallace?), it's like south of the Grizzlies. It should have a general store and stuff attached to it as well. But there is normally a couple of rich people standing around waiting for a train. If it's 1-2 ladies, Rob them. But since there is no law around, after you rob, you can ride away real quick, until the "Attracting Law" redness goes away, and then Ride back and rob the new Rich people that spawned, if you rode far enough away.
Repeat, over and over, until you get a Silver Earring.

Yes, so, every food has a Calorie count of like 1-3. but then you have to do something with a 'Cutscene', like Fast travel/sleep/mission, to actually make said changes after eatting enough food for the character to actually 'Weight up'.

It's not very logically, so if you are the sort of person to go long periods without doing a cutscene, you'll never actually get a weight change...

If it's true that the Saint Denis fence is open or the Rhodes one is, you're golden, if not just do the chap 2 quest that opens the fence in Emerald ranch then.

If you do it for outfits check what you need to do the full one so maybe on the way you can collect secondary material like rabbit hide or idk

My first perfect pelt was a squirrel. That has been my only perfect pelt so far... (!)
I'm doing it for a talisman I think... not a trinket.

check the compendium wiki or ingame encyclopedia it should tell you with what to kill
if you don't know then just kill it with a bow if it's smaller then bow with small game arrow and you gotta one shot it or poison it

I think I have everything but the legendary pelt cause I thought that section of the map was closed off.
No I know what animals use what weapons... it's that I don't have a rifle yet, and my dead eye aint good enough not to shoot it 2x or in the wrong spot. I'm getting close.
Perfect deer pelts are in every satchel, so that's part of my job today.

I have improved arrows for big game, just in case before the rifle... for perfect pelts, but I haven't tried that yet until I get good enough with deadeye like I was a year or so ago...

I'm 2/3rd the way there to better deadeye... I still can't go into deadeye without drawing my weapon to blow ppl's heads off before they realize it.
Yeah, the legendary animals I use a pump action shot gun with slugs... but the Moose turned on me after 3 hits in dead eye, so I hit him again in his nads manually.
Can I use deadeye with a scope? It looks like on ytube videos you can... ppl here said no.
