I'm deadeye level 5 which supposedly should let me manually mark enemies, but whenever I use it, it just starts putting targets all over enemies so I can't do it in a controlled way to get headshots. Is there a setting I'm missing?

I'm simply holding down right mouse button to start to aim, then tapping mouse scroll button to activate deadeye, but then it starts doing it's own thing.

Then when I tap the left mouse button, it shoots all the places that were automatically picked. It's making it impossible to get gold medals on some missions.

Although now I'm confused. Online I read about 5 stages of DE, but in the game is says I am 5/8.

I'm in chapter 2. Was trying the "pay a social call" mission where you need 10 or 12 headshots and 80% accuracy. The auto deadeye just ruins it. And I'm not good enough to get all those headshots at normal speed.

I'm almost to level 6/8 of deadeye according to my player stats. I had 3 bottles of valerian that helped.

I'm still on the horse I got from the mission about seeing the legendary bear. When I find a new horse, what happens to my old horse? Do I just leave it? Or can I lead it by whistling to a stable? I tried once. I had a new horse and was able to mount it but when I took the saddle off of my horse I couldn't figure out how to put it on the new horse. Not sure if I needed to calm it more or pat it more or what so I gave up.

I'm in chapter 6 and charles just asked me to talk to rains fall but my controller was far from me during the cutscene I couldn't get it in time to agree to help which is what I wanted to do.
why would a game auto pick the decision for me after like 5 seconds if it's going to effect how the rest of the game plays out? I do not have any save files from before this moment I can load. I really wanted to help with the rains fall missions and gain the honor for doing so but after over 150 hours and being on the final chapter restarting the whole story just is not a reasonable option at this point. I suppose I'll just take the loss and maybe one day I can play through it again but this kinda just felt like a slap in the face from Rockstar Games lmao

Only really has effect on the final story mission and on the prices in the general store. I think there may be an occasional slight difference in how npcs act towards you asking them for something but none are gonna attack you for having bad honor
