the amount of time to bond from their finnickyness and the speed of which it reacts to predators is what's different with an Arabian. You probably used your Standardbred a lot and had it at 4 bonding. Arabians are finicky and you have to make sure it's ears are perked forwards, not just wether the icon for stamina is red. They take a bit to cool off when you hold r3 and generally they don't like to be stopped when you do so.

And fucking feed it way too much. The game doesn't get mad. If you run the horse A LOT, trust me you'll never be under/overfeeding it. Horses are happier when they're fed and treated sweet, like people. Being mean to hot blooded horses especially is almost an insult to them, they're not stupid. Like your kid if you aren't.

There are some nuances to them, the Fox Trotters save you an extra 200$ and don't buck off instantly to Cougars.

Actually if you do a mission called Angelo Bronte man of honor in chapter 4 (second mission of the chapter) and return to camp it will show you an option to auto save. Reload that auto save and your file with cheats will work

It is very very hard to make profit from horses. Robbing trains is a better idea but the best idea is to find treasures which I did and became rich in the game. It is so much fun too. Just make sure that you always go to that fence in Saint Dennis because he gives the highest amount of money per gold bar as far as I know.
